Unfortunately, we encountered our first and only over booking error for the summer during this weekend stay. We have issued this guest a full refund and our sincerest apologies. To touch on a couple of the issues mentioned by the guest, we apologize for the guest experiencing an allergic reaction during their stay, but we can guarantee that there has not been a dog in the Millhouse Cabin for over 2 years. Secondly, given that Blackbird is a rustic, working farm amidst the redwoods, we do our best to take preventative measures to deter wildlife from coming indoors. Although we have never come in contact with a cockroach on the property, as they are not native to this part of California, we do apologize that the guest experienced contact with a local insect. We take full responsibility for the booking mishap and tried our best given the last minute circumstances. We have issued this guest a full refund and our sincerest apologies. Since this incident we have had no other booking errors and plan to continue to provide the best possible experience for our guests.
