Your bright and spacious room faces the large backyard and has its own keyed entrance, private bathroom (new!), mini-fridge, microwave, electric kettle, tea and coffee, TV with Roku/Netflix, wifi, your own thermostat to control heat in winter and an A/C unit in summer, easy parking, and local information to help you get the most from your stay. A few minutes walk to Uptown Kingston, buses, and a market. Just like having a studio apt - all you need in your own private space!
This comfortable suite (attached to my house but with its own entrance) is perfect for solo tourists, business travelers, and couples. House is on a quiet block within short walking distance to historic Uptown Kingston's restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, music venues, farmers market, historic stone houses and museum, as well as a laundromat and Trailways bus station. An excellent mini-market with fresh soup, deli counter, snacks, beer, and anything you need is right around the corner, too! Absolutely no smoking anywhere on the property.
While this room does not have access to the rest of the house, I often work from home and am available for as little or as much socializing as you'd like. I love playing tour guide and sharing my favorite tips and spots for exploring the beautiful Hudson Valley and enjoying our many festivals and events. I'm also an ardent localist with my own art business and can recommend great locally-owned restaurants and shops in the area. If you're here on a Saturday from May-Nov, you can visit me in my booth at our wonderful farmers market, right here in Uptown.
I have a sweet dog named Pearl. She loves kids and dogs and belly rubs! I always ask before introducing her or allowing her into the yard when I have guests, so if you're not comfortable with dogs, you won't see her at all.
