The space is the Master bedroom in a small new home- only 1200 sq. ft.so we will collide on occasion, but not much. super clean and with great Central Air, and located close to downtown and closer to Biltmore Village and The Biltmore Estate is a few blocks over. Catawba and even Burial Beer is coming to my street! Added- new refrigerator, 'Samples stand' with amenities, iron, toaster, Keurig, with tea and coffees selection. Guests doing the Ale Trail downtown and parkway love it..Guests here for intimacy retreat may not, due to the room being flush with the living room- we are home most of the time ( I do a large majority of my work from home). Lots of amenities for guests from shampoo samples, soaps etc. Two kinds of Keurig coffee and lots of Keurig teas. Beautiful private bedroom with private bath. With a great new mattress and a Kohl's 4 inch thick supreme memory foam topper, you'll get the best sleep of your life, (URL HIDDEN) least 3 guests told me that they did! We are in Biltmore Village and if the Biltmore Estate is your destination, it is across the street...You couldn't be closer to town without breaking the budget. Check out Cantina, The Corner Kitchen, Moe's and click on the map in my Guidebook for super food and things to do info.

The room with queen size bed and private bath and lush JC Penney bath sheets and towels. New 800 thread count sheets. Guests will have two keys with access to side door and their own private bath in room suite. You must walk into sidedoor kitchen which is our regular entryway, too, and through the living room to access your room. The courtyard is great in season and will be private for the room guests - new Best Buy Refrigerator in room, and Off street parking/central air-.I also offer drives from airport ( airport rides do have a 35. dollar charge as it is nearly 30 minutes away-downtown rides are FREE- as I get guests that come from as far as Tel Aviv, Sweden and Abu Dhabi who really love the closeness to downtown with NO NEED for a car! Cozy courtyard w/ gas grill for use, also wonderful front porch for guests only. Actually a 'smoking porch' if you smoke. Your home away from home while seeing all there is to do in Asheville. The entrance to the parkway is only 2 mi. down the street to the left- the city is right) and I have plenty of waterfall brochures and guides to get you on the best hikes and a new picnic basket to borrow, if the urge strikes to buy sandwiches at a Boar's Head Deli a quarter of a mile down the street and hit the trials. Also Moe's BBQ and French Broad and lots more within walking distance. I no longer allow guest access to cooking in kitchen due to my working from home and it's an open floor plan. You can grill in courtyard and there is a nice table and chairs outside and I do not use the front porch or courtyard when guests are here.

Though I enjoy the guests, I am in the background and available to help them make their trip the best possible. I do ask guests to 'endure' my 'six minute Welcome spiel' which includes info on internet, house rules, coupons, Biltmore Wine tasting info., where I go through amenities such as samples, where iron, extra toilet paper, blankets, and info about turning off halogen lights which I leave on for guests at night; I interact a minimal amount and realize that this is their vacation or quick getaway and most like to 'pack in a lot in a little time'. I like to leave coupons, and maybe act as a concierge and cab driver to events but give guests their privacy.

I love four things about my neighborhood: Biltmore Village, Corner Kitchen (President Obama favorite) and Catawba brewing within walking distance AND The Biltmore Estate practically across the street- Also, Burial Beer is coming down the street, The new French Broad bar with live music and Hi-Wire now has tasting right here in Biltmore Village--sweet! .Acess to four Yoga studios within 1 -1/3 mi. also Highlands Brewing, Catawba and French Broad with live bands. Burial Beer will be on my street within a few months! 'Plank' a gym, is right there, too. When I leave my driveway, I am over at the Biltmore Estate in about 4 minutes. I loop past McDonald's and there it is after the charming Biltmore Village with countless shops. I am closer to the Biltmore Estate than anything and there is so much to do over there from Antler Hill Village with Grape stomping and Friday After Five where the party begins with a great free band. We are smack dab off Biltmore Village with ALOT to see and do with The Biltmore Estate and offer location, location, location, hahaha. Free rides, new fridge in your room, 800 thread count sheets, free rides and a wonderful front porch make this a great place to hang your hat. I have location, location, location, and love it. Just recently though, an older woman threw a tirade about the neighborhood being 'too multi-cultural for her, which I found ridiculous. On one half block we have 2 Master Degree students, 2 UNC-Asheville landscapers, a retired physicist and a whole lot of interesting people.

It is easy to get to Catawba Brewery (one block) Biltmore Estate, 1/2 mile, Wendy's, ,McDonald's,
Moe's, and lots of great eateries within 1 mile plus 1-3/4 mile to Wicked Weed, Orange Peel ,La Zoom Comedy Bus Tour and more downtown.

We have a small home and after doing this for four years, and like to tell guests, right off, that I have a fairly new 1200 small home. I love my guests, but with sq footage, we will have some interaction. Although you have a wonderful room and private 'en suite' bath, you do have to walk through the living room to access your space. Although we are night owls, and the house is quiet from 11 pm to 11 am. Guests that are 'Early to Bed, Early to rise,,," lol, may or not be 'a good fit', it's up to you. At 11 pm the television is off in the living room and you could hear a pin drop until 11 am. Our best guests are staying out late at night, and waking up rather later in the morning. Our happiest guests have been doing the downtown Ale trail, especially single travelers and single business travelers, ex- college roommates, physicians and residents, Professors on sabbatical, yoga certifications, meet-ups from different states, business men, single travelers in general, college students, grad students and young couples. The pictures of the room are exactly how the room appears. Unless you have stayed and are good with all of the above). International travelers who are super acclimated to spaces that are a bit smaller love all the amenities that I offer and love the front porch, free rides in the evening, on weekends, only, ability to use the outdoor grill, free breakfast items in room and more. We get out fair share of Professors, from Duke, Chapel Hill, Wake-Forest, Winston-Salem and Texas A&M, to name a few. College Professors just love our listing, and we've really loved and enjoyed their wittiness and exceptional insight into our little city!

Guests tend to stay out very late and enjoy the 'beer crawls' and La Zoom tours. I ask that GUESTS WILL TURN FLOODLIGHTS off if arriving back late, also keep windows in room SHUT at all times. Had an expensive central air malfunction from recent guests keeping their windows wide (URL HIDDEN) sorry if you prefer fresh mountain air at night. My whole unit froze due to overcompensation of warm air in room...
when arriving back to their 'home away from home'. Also, smoking is allowed on cute front porch and side courtyard of house. No indoor smoking at all(URL HIDDEN)too am a 'road less traveled' -traveler and it's great to be right near the pick up of La ZOOM bus tour, Biltmore Catawba and French Broad. We are more in a quiet location on the fringes of downtown, and on the edge of Vanderbilt's Biltmore Village (not to be confused with Biltmore Park 9 miles away) especially when you're getting a free ride to downtown ( one mile and 3/4) and you're in a nice country location to boot to rest and relax after the frenzy of things to do downtown. It's a great, super comfy retreat, with a wonderfully relaxing courtyard and a good 'Asheville yoga- beer city' vibe and try to check out the Friday night Drum Circle ! ! Check out the Cawtawba Brewery practically next door to me- plus I give out a lot of Triple aaa brochures and guides to keep you super informed about going ons downtown! No 'non-guests' without prior notification. Occupancy includes only those who were included in original reservation.

Cindi And Kendall

Hi to all,
I am a former New Yorker and Floridian who ended up in Asheville. We picked this place for its very close vicinity to downtown. The house is VERY small and I love it, after my New York property with acreage...I think, as a matter of fact, build a true 'tiny house' in the back and one day try to really scale it is this home is about 1050 sq. feet and fairly new. It probably is most likely not the exceptional choice for honeymooners and 'intimacy escapes' as your room sits flush with the living room. My daughter, Kendall is a yoga teacher at two studios here in Asheville and loves it! A graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill (2013) and Tulane in New Orleans (2015), she recently was a resident of Chapel Hill, Charleston and New Orleans and is back in Asheville because this is by far the location that has the most going for it for fun, safety, open-minded people and good eats! The other cities are amazing but are priced that way...amazingly high...hahaha. You can get a lot of 'bang for your buck' in far as my home, it is fairly new and has location, location, location. We are a stones throw from the Biltmore Estate, The Corner Kitchen, Cantina,Orange Peel and Catawba Brewery where most of the tours like Ghost Tour Trolley (Grey Line) depart. Burial Beer, which is GREAT is coming to the end of our street..Also, HI-WIRE has a beer tasting annex in Biltmore Village and is walkable...Check out French BROAD next to our house for beer and music.... We are also next to McDonald's, Wendy's, Long John Silver's, The Bohemian, T.G.I.Friday's, The shops in Biltmore Village, all within walking distance. I went to school for cooking, so there may be a New York Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, Hummingbird cake, Berry tart, or scones awaiting you. I love downtown and am offering free rides into and out of the city which saves you about $9.- 12. per trip. Most of the cool tours like La Zoom take off across from the Orange Peel which is about a mile and a quarter from my location.
I will pick up from the Asheville Airport, too, which is about 25 minutes from the house. No transport from Greenville or Charlotte.
Asheville is the coolest place offering HungerGames Tours, Zip lines, a new Bikebar that was seen on Las Vegas 'Trip Flip' and is nothing short of hilarious, downtown walking ghost tours, a Ghost Tour trolley, The Biltmore Estate, Grove Park, Wicked Weed, and so many places to eat, not to mention go out and explore.
I look forward to meeting you and you can consider me your 'concierge and chauffer' for your holiday to Asheville. This is one trip that will make you consider moving here. I flew down from New York to see Rent, and moved here shortly after. I am a true Sagittarian and enjoy meeting fellow wanderers...lol...See you soon..
