Firstly I would like to thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at Villa Sophia Latchi.
It is only through feedback such as yours, that we are able to maintain and indeed, where necessary, improve upon the service that we provide to our valuable guests.
It was disappointing though to read of your experiences, concerning the cost of A/C, as this is something very clear on property’s description. (Copy is following: [Please note that use of air-conditioning is provided with a small fee of 5 Euros per unit, per day of use and is paid locally. The air-conditioning in the lounge is paid extra on request as this is up to the guest to decide the use in resort]).
We are really sorry to find out at the end that the above endorsement was something not clear to you and we are also unable to understand “why”, if this was the case, “we were never asked to clarify the costs or explain the conditions of air-conditioning’s use in the entitled property”?
Herewith we would need to underline a couple of very important parameters, which make us believe that your comments on air conditioning had a different purpose than informing of something that bothered you.
1.- On the last two or three days of your stay in Cyprus, the weather wasn’t as good as it could be expected, with frequent showers and heavy rain, which resulted into chilling the atmosphere at levels that the use of air-conditioning wouldn’t be an essential matter.
2.- Since the beginning of April, the entitled property is fully booked, air-conditioning was on permanent use by occupants and none had complained of costs.
3.- As is clearly stated, any A/C use is entirely up to occupants choice (duration, number of units, etc) and at no means a compulsory service. For this reason the property provides the facility of window and door screens, so that they can remain open on a permanent basis.
In any case, we have asked our editor to re-consider the endorsement on our advert and proceed with changes if this is considered necessary.
Finally please accept our apology if this was a reason of disappointment, but hope it hasn’t put you off a return stay with us again.
