The one downside: There is only one A/C in the whole place and that's downstairs bedroom. They provided stand-alone fans for all the other rooms, but we were there in July and it got very hot and uncomfortable from probably 8AM - 7PM, even with the windows open. The Upside: Very spacious place that fitted well for our party of 8. It could fit 10 if you put two per bed (including the pull out couch that did not look very comfortable). Check-in was easy, we met up with Berlin's father and brother who encouraged us to do a walk-around first to make sure everything was ok before leaving. Check-out was even easier. Ample parking space for 2-3 cars (maybe even a 4th if you don't mind parking on a very steep drive way). Berlin provided everything that you could get in a hotel (toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving kit, shampoo, soap, even loofah). The kitchen had everything including a rice cooker. Coffee maker and coffee was provided (no creamer, but that's not expected). Laundry is $2.00 (coin-operated) for the washer, but dryer is free. Detergent is provided. Overall, a great place to stay and I'd do it again if I'm there when the weather is cooler.
Berlin's place was perfect for our group of 10. Drive to waikiki is about 10-15 minutes so not too bad. Its in a quiet neighborhood so can not be loud after 10pm. One of the room downstairs had a/c, but the upstairs didn't so it got quite stuffy. They provided fans for each room with no a/c. Berlin's father met us upon check-in and was super nice. We exchanged numbers in case we needed anything. This would be a great place for big groups; much more affordable than staying in a few hotel rooms.
