We are artists and musicians that live here, our home has a bohemian feel to it.We accept all religions, any ethnicity, and are LGBT friendly! If you are a light sleeper, this may not be the best option for you.Not private nor shared room it is a curtain room in our living area.Expect some noise. There are no hidden fees in this ad.This small fort is best for smart travelers who use their money on fun and like to save money on the room. Also, this small fort is great if you need a place to just crash.
This is a curtain room, double lined for privacy, but it is not completely silent around the room. It is located next to the main entrance of the house in the living room next to the kitchen. The curtain room is not noise isolated, so you will be able to hear the traffic of people living their daily lives. Such as eating food, using the dryer, coming in out of the house during the day/night, ect. Inside the room, there is a full size bed with a memory foam mattress topper right up against the curtain wall. The curtain room/fort is pretty small...just a little bit bigger than a full size bed. It does feel like a cute cozy little nook. But, what matters most, is that you have somewhere to sleep for an inexpensive rate. Keep in mind that the curtain fort books very fast as it is a great value so a date that you see available now might be booked within the next few hours as I have seen this happen many times.
Kitchen access: guests get one cabinet in the kitchen for dry goods, and one shelf in the fridge for left overs or groceries. Bathroom access: Shared bathroom (used by myself and my boo). The bathroom is just a shower and toilet. I provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner for your convenience. Laundry Room: I do provide a laundry bag, laundry detergent, and access to the washer and dryer to make your travels a little easier. We have instruments at the house, so you are more than welcome to join us when we use them, if you visit on a day when have a jam session. Living room access: feel free to relax, we don't have a T.V. but do have many good books that you can read. We have a little patio in the backyard, so you can turn on the lights, lay on the hammock, hang out on the couch, have a bon-fire. Pretty much, my home is your home!
Our house is typically quiet, but since the room is located in the heart of our living area expect some noise from people passing by, using the kitchen, talking to each other, or coming in and out of the house. Again if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the best option for you. The room is only a little bit bigger than the size of a full-size bed, so expect a compact room but you do have access to common space such as the dining room and couches. I promise you, the bed is very very comfortable and is great for people who have chronic back pain.
No rules, you can come in and out as you please. Something that I have noticed however, is the luggage being left in the living room/hallway this can crowd up the walkway. So, please keep your luggage in the armoire cabinet to keep the walkway free. Thank you.
