Our home overlooks the beautiful CowPasture River. The sun rises in a gap between the mountains, slowly burning away the mist off the river: it'll take your breath away! The only sight more beautiful is moonlight glinting off of the water. In the winter, snow blankets our little valley, causing you to feel nestled warm and safe into the perfect winter scene. In the summer, chirping tree frogs and crickets accompany the flash of what seems to be a thousand lightning bugs across the fields. It's a peaceful place we delight to share!
Easy access to Interstate 64 makes our beautiful space convenient to many destinations and activities around south western Virginia.
Downstairs, enjoy use of the garage, laundry room, half bath, closets, kitchen, study, dining room, and living room. Upstairs, find a Master suite with full bath and soaking tub, three more bedrooms, and another full bath. The basement and attic are inaccessible to guests. Two closets (one upstairs, one downstairs) are padlocked, but guests will find ample storage areas throughout the home.
Access the CowPasture River in our backyard! Any activities in or around the river or its banks located on the property is at your own risk. Management assumes no liability of any kind for any activities in or around the river or its banks.

Absolutely NO smoking inside the house.
We ask that only persons who are of legal age (21 and older) consume alcohol on the property, and guests who do so assume all risks associated with consuming alcohol.
Pets are not permitted inside the house but dogs may stay in the large kennel in left yard. If you have a service animal, please let us know and we will work to accommodate you.
If you will be out of the home for any stretch of time, please do not leave AC set below 72 or heat set above 68 while you are away. The Nest Thermostat allows us to change temperature settings remotely: if you need help or would like a setting changed, just send a message!
Please turn off exterior lights once you are inside for the night, and do not leave exterior lights on throughout the daytime.
Please remove your shoes near the entrance.
Please eat only downstairs, and be sure to promptly clean up any messes.
If you need to host extra guests, or would like to host a small gathering in our home, we require that you notify the homeowners for approval.
Use trash receptacles throughout the house with the liners provided underneath kitchen and bathroom sinks. Please remove all trash to the exterior trash cans located just outside the garage upon departure.
Guests assume all responsibility for safe use of items provided in the kitchen and throughout the house. Please wash your dishes as you use them. You may leave the dishwasher running upon departure.
Laundry facilities may be used by guests. Please provide your own detergent. We prefer not to use fabric softeners or dryer sheets: woolen dryer balls are provided. They fluff you laundry, reduce static, and cut drying time!
We will launder all linens and towels after your departure. Please strip beds down to mattress pads, leaving comforters in the rooms, and place all soiled laundry belonging to the property in the laundry room floor.
The attic and basement are off-limits to guests. One closet downstairs and on closet upstairs are padlocked.
The gas-burning fireplace downstairs may only be operated by adults. It is not available for use during warm months (April-September). The blue handle in the gas line must be in "on" position. On front of unit, push in and turn gas dial 1/4 turn to left. You may have to hold the dial in to prime the line in this position for as long as a couple of minutes. Ignite pilot light by pressing black button until the light remains on, even after you slowly release the dial. Turn gas dial to desired setting. The unit is equipped with an automatic blower that will push warm air through the room, once the unit is hot enough. Guests assume all responsibility to turn gas logs completely off (dial all the way to the right, until you hear a click), and the blue gas cutoff valve completely off. c
