Edwardian house with original character features, close to the pennines with fantastic walks & very near to Mossley Station & only 20 minute train ride to Manchester centre. Good for families, couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. 2 reception rooms & 2 double bedrooms. Lovely views of hills/woodland to front and back. Freshly renovated kitchen leading onto country garden with bistro table & chairs. Near to lots of nice restaurants, heritage sites and the Saddleworth villages.
There are two reception rooms downstairs and brand new quaker kitchen with access to the back garden with seating area by dramatic cliff woodland. The living room and kitchen are open plan.
The separate dining room can be made into an additional bedroom with a single camp bed if required.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, wardrobe, draws, TV and a lovely view of the Pennine hills and trees.
The second bedroom to the back of the house which is actually the biggest room is used as an office and can be used as a second bedroom. I have a king size memory foam mattress that can be made up into a bed (it's actually very comfy sleeping on the memory foam mattress on the floor). I also have a single mattress which can be made up at the other side of the room (so this room can actually sleep 3). Just bear in mind that the other guests have to go through this room to access the only bathroom (it's an old house and the bathroom was built as an extension on the back with direct access from the back bedroom).
You're able to use the whole house and garden.
Me and my two cats will go and stay with my parents in Shropshire during your stay but I'll be contactable and will have a friend nearby who can nip over if you need anything.
There is unallocated parking outside the row of houses which is available the majority of the time. Failing that there is an alcove where people park just up the road.
You are welcome to smoke in the garden.
I have 2 cats (who won't be there during your stay) just to mention in case you suffer from allergies (although they are breeds that are better for allergies as I'm allergic myself).
I've lived in Mossley for almost a year now and really love long walks in the nearby pennines which is why I decided to move here after being in Manchester City Centre for 10 years. I live with my 2 young cats Blue and Liv who are very friendly. My partner Hugh also stays with me at times (he travels around a lot). I work part-time at the Arts Council in Manchester City Centre which is a 20 minute train journey so it's great having the best of both worlds, the countryside on my doorstep and the city so close. I also work as a musician and spend a lot of time playing, writing and producing my own music and composing soundtracks for theatre (in headphones when people are around!). I love meeting new people. Other hobbies include reading thrillers, watching sitcoms/property programs/movies and socialising with friends.
