I had the worse experience after 10 years renting 4 properties in town. When Oben group arrived at the building we had some works fixing the power due to a problem we had the week before. It was lunchtime and the technicians where on the break. But the entire problem was fixed at 5 pm just two hours after Oben arrival. When Oben arrived she start complaining and saying she was not going to stay at the flat as there were wires hanging on the ceiling of the entrance of the building. Obviously this was due to the works going on that day that were finished a few hours after. It was very odd to us as its normal to improve things on a building and those things happen on a community building. The apartment was perfect for their stay as the works only affected the building entrance (5 floors below!!). The flat was ready and with all luxuries. We even offered compensation and explained it was a temporary problem but the guest rejected and said she was going to complain to Airbnb as it was not safe. I was on the phone with her “trying to explain myself” obviously I was not allowed to say a word. She was extremely nervous and we were threated in a way I had never been before. Textually she said: “I work on the IT business and I am going to make sure that you do not make any money with that flat in the future.” Saying that it shows that they did not have any good intention though we were trying to explain the situation that was temporary and completely SAFE with NO HAZARD It’s sad to have people that do not understand a last minute problem. It’s sad when someone just complain. Even when we try to improve a problem that we recently had and that it was solved just barely 2 hours after. I can understand that the group was not happy, as the entrance building was not on its best condition. But after explaining that this would be finished that day and it did not imply any hazard plus offering compensation I believe that this can be understood. The group just steps in and steps out of the flat without even check that it was perfect for their stay. I am very disappointed with this situation as they cancelled a high season week that could have been booked by another guest. We had a guest leaving a day before the group arrived that had an amazing experience as the comment shows. All our guest comments are positive and we have never had any experience like that. We are a local family that offers a very high quality accommodation with the local flavor. We care for our guest and we always try to find the best way to accommodate their needs.
