We live semi-locally (about 45 min away) but needed to be out of our house for a week while work was being done. We had specific needs because of my elderly mother and our dog - first floor bedroom, first floor bathroom with shower, within an hour from our home (so I could go back and forth), and accepting of pets. Bonus points - a desk to work from, and a comfortable home with all the amenities you'd need for a week. That's exactly what we got - which made the week that much less stressful. And how can you be stressed with the views from the upstairs bedrooms, and beautiful Scituate and Cohasset within minutes?! Hosts were helpful and responsive the whole time. Hopefully I won't need to stay again, but would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a spot in the area.

Our stay at this lovely Scituate Coastal Retreat was fabulous. The house was immaculately clean and the decor was perfection. The common areas were cozy, but spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with any tools/utensils we needed. Beds were comfortable and our party of 4 adults had plenty of room. The hosts left great suggestions for local dining and the house was only a 2 min drive (15min walk) to downtown Front St restaurants and shopping. Host Andrew was very responsive and wonderfully accommodating, allowing for a later check-out when requested. We were staying in the Winter, so perhsps check out time may not be as flexible in the warmer months. Check-in & check-out was a breeze! We hope to rent this property again. Location! Location! Location! Really nothing else to say. lol This was my first time staying at Sunset Sanctuary, but it definitely won't be my last. I was there this past weekend, which is off-season, but had fantastic weather. Had a couple questions upon arrival to which owners responded to and answered immediately. The house was clean & comfortable. I felt like I was home. There's a large deck over looking the ocean. I spent hours sitting out on the deck, out on the beach, walking my dog, and just enjoying the sounds of the ocean & beauty of it all. I almost hate to recommend the place because I want ensure availability for myself in the future, but honestly it is worth every penny. Lots of local restaurants to enjoy. Plenty of windows, and doors to open to let the ocean breeze in. The only downside was that I couldn't stay forever. Can't wait to book again next spring! Thank you Sophia and your parents for offering to share such a beautiful piece of heaven.
