Absolutely beautiful house!! EVERYTHING that you could possibly need for a few days away! We had 4 generations there to celebrate my 60th birthday and everything was perfect!! We’ve only been left a few hours and the grandchildren are asking when can we go again?? We would all love to return in the future!!

It’s rare that you find a place that truly earns its 5 star status, but this is such a place. We spent 2 wonderful nights here and have had the time of our lives as a family of 3 generations. The house is beautiful: cosy, homely, spotless and equipped to the highest possible standard. Everything you could possibly need to assist your stay is here…and a few things you hadn’t thought you needed until you found them. The garden was superb, and the children had a lovely time hunting for Easter eggs amongst the fluttering blossom. Even though this is an old house, the glazing and super thick walls mean that it’s warm and incredibly peaceful apart from the gentle sounds of the wind through the trees and the birds outside. Penny was an excellent host- generous and attentive. Other airbnb hosts could learn a few lessons from her. All in all we agree that this is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. We don’t want to leave, but we will be booking to come again soon. Thank you?

We absolutely loved our short break at Rosie's cottage. The cottage itself was lovely in a really peaceful area. Lots of nice walks nearby, and the hot tub was a bonus! Rosie was a fantastic host and was really helpful recommending local pubs to eat. We would recommend Rosie's cottage to anyone. Thank you Rosie!

We have just returned from an amazing weekend at 2 Browcote Cottages, Ravenscar. The scenery that surrounds the cottages is breathtaking and is perfect for those looking for a peaceful, relaxing get away. The cottage is small but perfectly formed and is spotless! I don't think we've been anywhere so clean. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and everything in the cottage is of a high standard and well thought out. David and Monika were on hand to land a hand if necessary (such as towing us out of mud!) but were also discreet during our stay. Our party consisted of two adults, a 13 year old (good Wifi so he was happy!) and our dog, and everyone enjoyed themselves. We would highly recommend Browcote Cottages, and we will certainly be returning.

What a little gem this cottage is. The location is fab, and walkable to pubs and the beach. The cottage has a huge enclosed garden with a lovely decked area with seating and a trampoline which the kids loved. There was a lovely welcome hamper upon our arrival which went down a treat with all of us. Jane has thought of everything, the kitchen is really well equipped, logs for the log burner, magazines and games. And stuff for the dog too. Loads to do around the area, so the location is perfect. Don’t hesitate to book this place you won’t regret it!

Perfect stop over between London & Newcastle to break up the journey. Nice touch with the food hamper & all our needs were taken care of

Lovely location. Very quiet with hardly any passing traffic but only 10 minutes from Whitby. 5 acre field is a bonus for our reactive dogs and they were exhausted every day! Farmhouse has everything you need and welcome treats for humans and dogs were a nice touch. Due to car issues we had to extend our stay and Heidi was most helpful and accommodating. We will be back!

Lovely quiet and peaceful place to spend a spring weekend. Cosy and well equipped. Small but spotlessly clean. Really enjoyed sitting out on the swing seat listening to the birds and the river and hearing nothing else. Lovely walk into Whitby over the fields and back on the cinder track. Perfect.

James and Helen were the most lovely, welcoming hosts. It was such a peaceful time away in the cabin, and loved having the chance to use the sauna! Also loved meeting the two donkeys they look after each winter.

Valley View was an absolute paradise! We stayed there for four days and the location was perfect. Right in the middle of private wooded land with a beautiful river next to the property. Inside, it is very cosy and has lots of photos and illustrations from local artists that showcase the nature of the area. Ruswarp is a picturesque and very friendly village and the walks to Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay were breathtakingly beautiful. Would definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys peaceful nature on holidays and lots of walking.

Exceptional stay in beautiful cabin in a tranquil, woodland setting. Stunning walks -and no need to use the car- we especially loved the ancient woodlands and the Robin Hood's Bay to Whitby coastal walk. The accommodation was so cozy - with two log burners and two outdoor fire areas and wonderfully equipped Would 100% recommend and hope to return. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
