Eco-friendly farm stay

Stay at our riverbank farm and enjoy the quiet, pristine nature all around. Take a walk up the river bank towards the famous volcano Hekla, enjoy the view of Eyjafjallajökull glacier, watch some of the many bird species that gather at the river, smell the wildflowers or take of your shoes and feel the black volcanic sand between your toes. At the farm we have Icelandic horses, Icelandic sheep, two dogs, chickens and the notorious cat Mía.

We are 5 living on our property Anna and Siggi (husband and wife), Einar (our son) and Ingveldur, woeking as a lawyer in the town Hvolsvollur. We were farmers but we quit the year 2000. Since 2016 we have been running a small accommodation with 11 studio in renovated outhouses , an old garage, a cowshed and a hay tower. All our studios have a private bathroom and a kitchenette. We provide coffee, tea, oil, salt, pepper and sugar
