Newly built in 2024, our Backpacker Lodge fills a much-needed niche in the famous Selous (Nyerere Park) safari circuit. Traditionally known as an expensive park and premier destination within Tanzania, this new lodging is a more affordable option. Baker & Sons meticulously constructed this space in the bush, with safari-themed touches like bamboo walls and local artwork. It's a great getaway for families and large groups, with a fully-equipped kitchen and BBQ facilities, a common room and more.

Family Room at Miseni Retreat Eco-Lodge

A comfortable, airy room for families or friends in an African, wooden "banda" (hut) of four separate rooms with an insulated roof for harvesting rain water and solar lighting. The interior is essentially African with wooden walls, wide windows, mosquito nets and "kitenge" style curtains. There is a king size bed with high quality mattress and if needed we can add two more single beds for your children. All beds are protected by a large mosquito net.

We are a small beach-front lodge. Under the current Covid-19 pandemic we are making some changes and making some of our property Self-Catering, to improve health and safety for all. It is a relaxed and tranquil place, with the sea and an amazing silvery sand coral reef environment. You'll love our natural environment and sea views. Due to the coral reef, the sea here is incredibly child-friendly. Adults and children alike feel at home here.

NatureStone Room – Jozani Biosphere

This is a spacious room designed for two adults. It has been built in traditional style using tree poles, cement and stones. The room is equipped with a fan, hot water and a private bathroom for guest's comfort. It also includes a table and a chair for convenience. Guests are provided with a key to the room for the duration of their stay. The room stands alone alongside the main building. The part of it is in forest.

Accessible to Pweza Beach Resort - a great entertainment hotspot with weekend live band performances, children's playground, BBQ, Seafood & Pizza Kitchens, Beach Bars and a great atmosphere! Each Room rented separately.
