Captain Papito will meet you at the dock of 3R Mall on Isla Colon to bring you to the heart of Dolphin Bay, a quiet lagoon surrounded by mangroves. At the farm you'll join Dorien for an exploration of Finca Montezuma's cacao grove grown under centuries-old shade trees. Keep your eyes open for sloths, monkeys, toucans & other birds while we're harvesting fresh cacao pods & discover their morphological diversity. We'll then make our way to our farmhouse where you'll get to try our artisanally fermented & roasted cacao beans, as well as some of our prized fresh chocolate creations in dark or milk chocolate. The walk back to the boat along the lovely hibiscus path provides some time to greet the farm animals (sheep, cows, horses, dogs, cats,...) & explore the fruit trees & flowers. We'll hope back on the boat for a short ride to our favourite local snorkeling spot. If you're lucky you'll get to see the resident bottle nose dolphins of Dolphin Bay in their natural habitat while we're making our way to this magical underwater paradise. Explore sea gardens of sponges, anemones and starfish and spot majestic rays and the occasional octopus! The lush mangrove island is also home to birds like pelicans, egrets & cormorants. After this fun-packed adventure captain Papito will take you back to town. Are you ready to experience Bocas in a different way?

We will visit my friend’s chocolate shop where you’ll get to try some unique treats, take photos in front of colorful street art, and walk down Panama City's only pedestrian avenue to buy fresh ingredients for our mojito-making workshop later on. While here, we’ll be eating at an old-school restaurant to try classic Panamanian food with a twist. For our last stop, we are GOING UP to a rooftop bar for a mojito-making workshop where you’ll get to make your own cocktail while watching the sun go down over the city and try fresh ceviche.

I will pick you up at your accommodation in Panama City or meeting point if desired and head to the Chagres National Park. Once at the port by the Chagres River, the friendly Embera villagers will take us in a traditional boat by this river, the main source of water for the Panama Canal. We will leave the boat at one shore of the river where we will the hike through a trail in real jungle, this is walking over dirt and/or mud crossing a creek several times to a hidden and pristine waterfall where we will swim in shallow and crystal clear water, then we will hike by the same trail back to the boat and head to the village where you will be welcomed by the Embera community. There, we will have fruits and lunch while the nocó (chief) share with us about their way of life inside a traditional huts without walls to allow air circulation. This time is complemented by a performance of their traditional music and dance. Finally, we will go back to the port and then rest in the car while you enjoy the way back to your accomodation in Panama City. Something to note: The trail is in the jungle (as is) so this experience might be challenging o not suitable for people with reduced mobility however I had people with knee surgeries completing the hike so we can do it together!
