We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lovely home over the weekend to celebrate my birthday with my family and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed to feel right at home. From the cozy atmosphere to the thoughtful touches throughout, it’s clear that the hosts take great pride in creating a welcoming and relaxing space. The location was peaceful and perfect for a family getaway, with plenty of space to enjoy time together. 10/10 would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a charming, comfortable, and well-cared-for home. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful stay. We will be returning! This is such a cute little cozy cabin in a secluded area. The hot tub is a huge bonus!

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end avec des amis, la saison ne nous a pas permis d'exploiter tout le potentiel du chalet mais nous avons quand même pu faire du canoë sur le lac. Le chalet est assez spacieux pour 8 personnes et très agréable à vivre ! Julie est une hôte accommodante et très réactive. Nous la remercions encore de nous avoir accueillis si gentiment dans son chalet familial.

I had a fabulous time staying at The Nellie. Surrounded by the entrancing Gatineau River, The Nellie is an ideal place for those looking for a secluded escape. The Gatineau River essentially creates an archipelago, with countless islands to photograph and explore. Lac-Sainte-Marie is accessible by canoe or kayak, though I would recommend bringing a physical map and compass to avoid getting lost. The Nellie is a perfect option for those who want a unique, rustic experience. Keep in mind, there's no electricity or running water, so plan your meals accordingly. Extremely charming nonetheless. If you are less comfortable with a canoe/kayak I would recommend staying at The Dragon. Transportation to either location is available. I didn't meet Bonnie or Jaques, but I did meet Andrew! He was respectful and punctual, very communicative and easy-going. He's a really solid dude. I will plan my next trip to The Nellie in the near future. I already miss it!

We had an excellent stay at nico’s place and especially enjoyed the sauna and spa. Nico was very helpful and responsive throughout the entire trip. Thanks again to Nico for everything! :)

This is the nicest Airbnb I've stayed at in years. Alain & Paola are one of the few remaining hosts that care about the small details and personalized touch. The place was super clean, and I'm someone with high standards. The personalized message, guestbook and coffee, tea etc. I was very happy I could being my dog as well! She loved the outdoor space to run around. I'd stay there again!

We had a wonderful time at La Minerve! Very clean and spacious! Great for 2 big families (due to 2 bathrooms). The kids loved that the playroom was upstairs and they enjoyed having their own space. Main area was comfortable and kitchen had most of what we needed for the week( For big families I suggest bringing a bigger pot) Beds were comfortable. The view is spectacular! Elizabeth was a wonderful hostess and always helpful. Overall a must see!

Perfect little cabin for a quiet vacation. This was our second stay here, and we love how peaceful the space is. It's very cosy, with all the amenities you need for a get away.

A great stay! My partner, my dog, and I have been coming to The Lodge for 4 years now and it’s always a fantastic time. It is a perfect and cozy winter stay. We loving coming back to Golden Lake year after year for The Lodge but also because Cindy is such a wonderful host. She is very responsive with any questions or concerns. 10/10 would recommend :)

Our family had a wonderful stay. The stunning views are even better than the pictures. The kids loved both the outdoor and indoor activities, with canoeing and local attractions being the highlights for us. Hosts Cindy and Mike were extremely helpful, offering excellent recommendations and exceeding our expectations. The place had a welcoming vibe. Highly recommended—a hidden gem.

Lovely cozy cottage along the water. Enjoyable spot to hang by the fire pit on the beach. Very comfortable and quaint cabin with a well stocked kitchen. Would recommend for nice little getaway.

This home was beautiful with a view to die for. Looking out on the frozen bay, playing pond hockey out there and coming back in to get warm by the fireplace and place some games with the family. It was a peaceful space for our family to spend some much needed time together. It’s so close to the Sens rink and avoids the commute out of the city. Absolutely beautiful area and a truly unique house with a master sanctuary and space for the kids upstairs! Can’t wait visit in warmer weather and make use of that incredible terrace patio with pool and beach!

Cindy und Desmond waren sehr freundliche und proaktive Gastgeber und haben uns einige Tipps und Wanderrouten für die Umgebung geschickt. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, gut ausgestattet und wirklich gemütlich. Vor allem die Küche hatte alles, was wir zum Kochen vor Ort benötigten. Die Lage am See ist atemberaubend und der Algonquin Nationalpark ist gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Es hat uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen und wir wären am liebsten noch länger geblieben.

Quel environnement merveilleux, un hôte attentionné, présent, serviable, accommodant. André nous accommode, nous fait découvrir. Il s’occupe du site, de la salle de sport. Toutes les commodités sont disponibles dans le chalet, rien n’est oublié pour rendre notre séjour agréable. Sonia a également pris soin de s’informer de nous et de donner de l’information supplémentaire sur les questions posées. Merci tellement de nous avoir permis de fêter nos 55 ans de mariage avec enfants, petits-enfants et arrière petits. Ce sont des moments qui resteront longtemps gravés dans nos mémoires. Le seul souhait que nous pouvons faire est d’y retourner un jour. Merci encore.

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour au chalet! L'emplacement est super, sentier de raquette sur place, espace pour glisser pas très loin! Georges répondait rapidement et lorsque nous avons eu un problème avec la télévision il est venu rapidement régler le tout. Il y avait tout le nécessaire en cuisine, et tout était propre !

Great place with lots of activities for kids and adults. We had a bit of bad luck with the road being washed out in advance of our arrival (which made for a hefty detour and the sound of construction vehicles for our duration), but the chalet and all its amenities more than made up for it. The host was very accommodating, there is plenty to do rain or shine, and the deer visits were an added bonus. Thanks Gabriel :)

Awesome place! Super spacious and the Sauna was wonderful. Definitely would recommend as a cozy cabin stay in the winter and I can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the summer. Thanks again for the lovely stay!

Every year, we reunite as friends in a chalet… and this one is, without a doubt, the most beautiful we’ve ever stayed in. The place radiates peace and natural beauty. Everything is spotlessly clean, thoughtfully prepared, and offered with true generosity. Délicious coffee, a selection of teas, soft robes, firewood provided… it truly feels like a spa retreat. We enjoyed coffee by the lake, yoga on the terrace, and peaceful moments by the stunning indoor fireplace. And the hosts… such a kind, welcoming, and thoughtful family, sharing this little piece of paradise with heart. Thank you so much Brianna and Devin for welcoming us so warmly. I would definitely love to come back with my family to let them discover this beautiful place. We leave refreshed, grateful, and filled with joy 🩵

Cottage was beautiful. Very clean. Had everything we needed. Host was responsive and helpful. we were attending a wedding nearby at it provided the setting for a great weekend!

We had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. The house is spacious and clean, with a workable kitchen. The backyard is big in size and has lots of activities.

Perfect spot for our girlfriend get away. Beautiful lake and beach and comfy beds! Our host was very responsive and helpful. Very well equipped cottage.

We had an unforgettable New Year’s stay at this wonderful cabin! Perfect for a group of 10, the cabin offered a cozy atmosphere with stunning views of the lake. The spacious rooms, modern interior, and comfortable furniture made our stay incredibly pleasant. The jacuzzi was a highlight, providing warm and relaxing moments even in the cool weather. It’s an excellent spot for a holiday getaway – we will definitely come back again!

I would come back here with friends and family for a getaway or special celebration any day! They know what you want to have fun and relax, and the set up makes it easy to slip right into vaycay mode - with a view to boot! But that sandy walk out to the river with the bright view from inside - beautiful. Thank you!
