Grýlusteinn is one of three cabins that we own. Nónsteinn, Grásteinn and Grýlusteinn. Our cabins are a perfect getaway place to enjoy the nature at it fullest while relaxing with a breathtaking view. Perfect for newly weds, couples or friends. Kirkjufell - Kirkjufellsfoss - Snæfellsjökull - Water cave - lava fields - black beaches - bird life - whale watching - Mountain view - northern lights - sunset , wonderful restaurants and so much more that you can experience here or near by.

Orca Apartment

Our peaceful, orca-themed apartment offers a spectacular view over Grundarfjörður and famous Mt. Kirkjufell. In the summer you can watch colorful sunsets and in the wintertime witness the Northern lights in clear skies. The apartment is detached from the main building and includes a well-equipped kitchen (yes, there's coffee and tea), a private bathroom, as well as comfortable beds and a seating area for two people. Supermarket, clinic, swimming pool, and waterfront in walking distance.

Bern, newly renovated historic home

Bern, the name of the house, is one of the most historic building in Ólafsvík. Originally built in the 1920's it's one of the oldest houses in the town but recently it has gone through a major renovation and is now in great condition. The house is positioned just off the main road and is in walking distance from most activities and restaurants in the town. With a view over the Breiðarfjörður to north and the historic Fisherman garden to south you won't be disappointed with the view

Charming House on the Ocean Front

My house is private, comfortable and set in stunning surroundings with open views. I have made a big effort to make it as homey as possible and equipped it with most necessities and really comfortable beds. The house is located on the edge of Arnarstapi village, closely surrounded by the ocean, vast lava fields, mountains and the majestic Snæfellsjökull. Every season there has it´s own charm but the beauty and peacefulness is always present, pulling you out for various activities.

only two cottages stand on the foot of the legendary, most photographed mountain of Iceland-Kirkjufell, and this is one of them..a completely unique place in pure nature with amazing views-a few hundred meters from the waterfall Kirkjufellsfoss. The 45m2 cottage is equipped with two bedrooms, a toilet with shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a view of the valley below Kirkjufell and a hot tub on the terrace.

Sælukot Cottage

Beautiful 37m2 cottage located in the heart of Stykkishólmur, with a view of Breiðafjörður from the living room. Perfect location and a short walk to the harbor, restaurants, grocery store and community pool. Small yet spacious, the cottage is newly refurbished with wooden floors and geothermal underfloor radiant heat. Bathroom with shower, and private bedroom sleeps two. Loft above sleeps 1-2 additional guests.

We are renting a beautiful apartment with a great view of Kirkjufell mountain and also is very well located in Grundarfjörður. Brimilsvellir small cabin

This private small cabin (ca. 26 qm) is located at our farm Brimilsvellir. You have a magnificant view to the ocean, beautiful mountains and our horses. There are small cooking facilitys in the cabin with a fridge, water cattle, toaster, plate and microwave. You have very great conditions to see northern lights from september until april.

Ólafvík - 3 bedroom apartment with a view

A rebuilt house in 2018 with three apartments. This apartment is on the upper floor with outdoor stairs and private entrance. It has three bedrooms, living room with an open well equipped kitchen and a bathroom with washer and dryer. Great sea view from the balcony overlooking the harbour.

Götuhús is a superb studio apartment that stands on the cliffs of Hellissandur. Views to Snæfellsjökull and over Breiðafjörður. Seals have a home below the balcony and whales can be seen from the as well. This location is also ideal for catching the northern lights. Perfect for couples
