There were 4 adults staying for Labor Day weekend. We had more than enough room for all. We have vacationed together for years. We all agreed this was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. So well put together and everything you could ever need. The yard was beautiful, the deck had beautiful views of the lake. The furniture was very comfy and there was nothing more we could have wanted.

Great location for ice fishing. Listing is accurate, spacious and clean. Will definitely book again and look forward to checking this home out for a summer trip. Host is very responsive, friendly and helpful!

We loved the beautiful lake views and that we could bring our dog with us. Stargazing while enjoying s’mores at the fire pit was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.

My second time stay and hope to return. House very clean, relaxing, and warm. Very convenient to town and restaurants. Orlando is a great host.

The house is on the canal right off the lake. We kept our boat tied up right outside the house. There are a lot of extras. Lucky for us there was an extra gas can because our gas gage started acting up and we ran out of gas in the middle grounds. There are kayaks you can use. There is a washer and dryer, plus a black stone. Lots of room for parking. I loved the king size bed.

This was a great place to spend a getaway with our family. The kids loved the game room and bunkhouse. There was plenty to do with the kayaks and paddle boards. My husband and I loved sitting out in the Michigan room during a storm! The beds were very comfortable as well.

Needing a girls' getaway, we were so thrilled with the cottage as it had everything we needed, the description of the cottage matched exactly what we walked into and if we didn’t have everything we needed, Sarah was graciously ready to be proactive to make sure we had it. Being that this was my first time staying at an Airbnb, I was impressed by everything from the amenities provided to cleanliness to the outdoor peacefulness. I will definitely be coming back! Thank you Sarah for being such an AMAZING hostess!!

We had another great time with my brothers and a few close friends for our annual ice fishing getaway. This house fits our needs perfectly. It was a very snowy weekend, but was still able to get out and ice fish and enjoy the Houghton Lake area! I would highly recommend this home when visiting the Houghton Lake area.

It was a really great place to stay in and a beautiful location. Very clean and great amenities, would recommend to anyone traveling up to Houghton. We will probably reserve again when the time comes. :)

My family, friends, and I enjoyed staying at Tim’s property once again. Tim is easy to reach if needed for anything, and was a great host. The property is well located and beautiful! Walking distance to dine out, or just a few minutes drive to get groceries, while still feeling tucked away. We hope to stay again next summer.

What a beautiful little lakefront cottage! We came to Higgins Lake for cross country skiing at CX Skiing Headquarters, 5 minutes from this cottage. Anita was very responsive and left little extras like wine and chocolates. We truly felt at home and the lake views were so beautiful. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay, the place is for those looking for peace, tranquility and rest! The cabin is beautiful, perfect, just like the ones I saw in the movies when I was a child! The lake is beautiful, my husband had fun fishing and rowing the boat. I highly recommend it for spending some quality time.

Katie the house was lovely, perfect for a weekend to relax and recharge. It did rain pretty much all day but there was enough to keep us entertained. We had dinner at Tipsy Bear in West Branch and it was phenomenal. Strongly suggest! We look forward to staying with you again

Needed a little getaway for my birthday and found Virginia’s place. It’s totally adorable and I love the bunkhouse for extra privacy! Beautiful place at a great price with a responsive and attentive host! Would definitely recommend especially in the summer.

We absolutely loved staying at her place! Had everything and more as described. She was very accommodating and even got us an extra kayak. I hope to stay at her place again. The lake was beautiful and the cabin was great and comfortable. It was peaceful and cozy. Too bad the weather did not cooperate for the fire pit.highly recommended.

The home is comfy, spacious, and clean! We had a group of 5 couples stay and felt we had plenty of space. The host was proactive and friendly. The home had everything we needed and more for cooking, had games, and even toys, books, coloring supplies for kids. I hope to go back sometimes in the summer so we can utilize more of the outdoor space and lake, all beautiful!

The cabin was perfect for our stay. Very clean and comfortable. The lake is beautiful. The small fenced back yard was ideal.

Seclusion & right on the Au Sable River for some of the best fly fishing & kayaking around. We would have liked some type of locks on the bedroom doors for privacy but the host was extremely hospitable & our stay was incredibly relaxing.

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for in a weekend get away. The views were stunning as we sat by the fire pit outside. This space had plenty of room for the 6 of us. The game room was our favorite space to hang out in. We played pool and shuffle board. Rules, codes, and instructions were easy to find and clear. Plus the host's phone number if needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Jeff and Ashlee are both amazing. We felt so at home. The cabin was more than we hoped for. You feel like you’re sitting right on the beach from pretty much anywhere in the cabin. We started looking for availability for our next trip before we even left. We already miss the two Eagles and the mallard ducks! It was our 47th anniversary and staying in the fishbowl made it perfect. Don’t have one negative thing to say.
