Loved staying at this Airbnb. It’s super close to the main square with immediate access to all restaurants and grocery stores. The host was amazing. We felt right at home. The host even made the most elaborate breakfast for us everyday. This is definitely going to be my go-to Airbnb in Nepal!

This charming, cozy room was located in a gated complex. There is a kitchen and bar located directly on the property that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chef Nir will also be opening a bakery very soon. The location is one block behind the stupa and there is no shortage of restaurants and shopping. Sonam was exceptionally helpful in responding to my questions.

Arjun’s place is very nice and quiet, a bit out Scott of Kathmandu in a fresh area area. It’s the best place for long term staying. The room has everything you need and there are important Buddhist sites in walking distance. Arjun and his family are so very hospitable. The microbus leaves for city center just 5 minutes walk from the house. I will keep going to stay with them in future too. Highly recommended Best wishes Dil

Babin is an extremely hospitable host. I only stayed at his place for 1 night as a transit to Pokhara but Babin picked me up from the airport and gave a good room with all amenities to have a good night rest. I also got a good breakfast in the morning and he called a cab for me to get to the airport on time.

It is an incredible blessing to know Rara and Rubin. They are like old friends we have known for a long time, and their home is like our own home. Rara always understood our needs and provided us with the most immediate and thoughtful extra needs. Even if you didn't say it out loud, she seemed to sense it. She would contact you the day before to ask about the estimated arrival time the next day, and even take the initiative to understand what kind of itinerary you would like to have when you make the reservation. You will be easily infected by her passion for life and attitude. Rubin was very talkative. Since our accommodation was quite secluded, he even recorded a video in advance to teach us how to get to the recommended restaurant and how to get back to our accommodation. He even walked us there in person. He even got up early and drove us to the airport to catch the flight. The place is right in the middle of Thamel. So it is very easy to move around. It is a sixth floor without lift. For me this was ok. Very polite and helpful host.

Raju is a hospitable, communicative, and attentive host. He took great care of me when I got sick and even invited us for an incredible home-cooked meal. The stay was an impeccable value, and everything matched the description perfectly. Highly recommended!

Bhawani's place is a peaceful cave. It's has a huge potential and very convenient location. I loved that the sheets and blankets are clean. Host is very responsive n always ready to help. Restaurant is next door with geest food. Pashupatinath is in walkable distance n grocery stores are around. I loved it.

We have had an amazing stay at Kathmandu Mega Appartement, which is perfectly located with many things to do nearby. Thakur was a great and thoughtful host, making us decide to add a few more nights here after traveling around Nepal.

A great project here in Kathmandu! It felt like home to be here and it was great to interact and be surrounded by students who are advancing their practice in hospitality. Very friendly, kind, helpful. Debendra was great at communicating, and very welcoming. It was nice to meet him and learn more on the project here. If you’re looking to stay anywhere, stay somewhere where you can contribute to the lives of locals. I’m definitely coming back. I loved the vibe here. Thank you and keep on the good work.

We absolutely loved our stay at Jennifer’s place! The cafe downstairs was a huge highlight and served amazing food and drinks. We had the homemade ginger tea about four times! The breakfast and coffee was delicious too. The Airbnb is in a really peaceful area but still very convenient to get to the main area of town if you need to buy trekking gear etc, which we did. The staff working at the cafe were so lovely and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. And the rooms were clean and cosy with nice comfortable beds. We’d recommend to anyone staying in Kathmandu and would stay again if we come back!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Soham's Temperate Ecotel in the heart of Thamel, Kathmandu, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! ✨ From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with the warmest hospitality. The room was Sparkling clean, thoughtfully decorated, and offered a cozy, peaceful vibe amidst the buzz of Thamel. The bed was super comfortable, and the facilities were just perfect – especially the beautiful rooftop seating area! ☕️🌸 Location-wise, it couldn't be better: - Garden of Dreams– just a 5-minute walk! 🌺 - Durbar Square– a 15-minute walk through colorful streets and local markets! ⛩️ - Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple)– a short 10-minute taxi ride! 🐒 - Pashupatinath Temple– about 20 minutes by taxi! - Boudhanath Stupa – a scenic 25-minute drive! 🛕 - Tons of amazing cafes, restaurants, and shops Getting around was super easy – taxis and bike rentals are readily available. The staff at Soham’s place were always ready to help with anything.

This was a wonderful place and Uttam and his family were great hosts. Uttam is also a very experienced trekking guide so from the small hikes in the Dhulikhel area we did - we hope to come back and do a long trekking together with Uttam in the future. 🌸

We had an amazing time at Babu's and Belku's homestay. They welcomed us as part of their family from the first day, offering help and advice with any issues we encountered, organizing trekking (day and week-long), and taking us with them for local festivities. They had great internet, video calls worked very well. The rooms had great views across the mountains next door or the green hill sides of Kirtipur and were exceptionally clean. We spent a lot of time reading and relaxing on one of the balconies or the big sun terrace. Before our trip we were hesitant whether staying with a local family would be too intense but we are so glad we decided to do so. You are free to move in the homestay as if it was your home, engaging with the family as much or as little as you want, but trust us you will look very much forward to participating in the family life, learning how to cook as amazingly as Belku does, learning Nepali with Babu, or just talking about everyday life with them. This is our second time in Nepal and only now we feel like we have experienced it for real. The deep insights into Nepali culture, cuisine, and daily life we got in this homestay you cannot get when staying in Thamel. You can visit Kathmandu with a short taxi ride but we were always glad to escape the busy city to the relaxing green rice fields of Kirtipur. It is not overstated to say our stay was a lifetime experience. We greatly recommend to stay with Babu, Belkin, and Aayush.

I stayed one month at the apartment. It is in a great location, remote from the main roads noise and dust. The room is very clean, it is exactly like in the pictures. The internet is fast, breakfast is great, it is a really nice place to stay if you visit Kathmandu, I would recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely loved this stay in the heart of Thamel - kathmandu's trendy district. The rooms were cosy and well equipped. There is a well decor'd rooftop space that it's super chill; we spent a lot of time there. Amit, the owner, was a fun conversationalist and we thank him for hanging with us. Super comfortable beds, spacious rooms and most importantly, excellent hospitality! I was very comfortable at Tajaa Pha and I really appreciated how helpful my hosts were. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Kathmandu that is surrounded by local life and is not very touristy. Thank you for a wonderful stay! :)
