A lovely little place to stay! Warm, comfortable & Cosy! And such a quiet location, it was so peaceful

Joanne's place had everything we needed for our 10 days in Newcastle. A bright and carefully planned space, close to some beautiful walks and excellent amenities, this little pied a terre was a home away from home. We enjoyed walking into Newcastle every day along leafy paths and quiet streets, then coming back to our quiet and cosy nook of Jesmond. Joanne was always happy to help with recommendations and advice. The room was immaculate with some really thoughtful details and we were made to feel very welcome.

Lovely and clean place to stay in a beautiful setting and with wonderful hosts. There was space for four of us - two adults and two kids (10 and 13). All of the beds were very comfortable and we left feeling rested and recharged.

We booked last minute and the host was away but was happy to accommodate us . She advised us that there was work ongoing with the newly built porch and it really didnt affect our stay. After a few problems on the telephone talking us how to get through the gate( it should have been left open) the local agent arrived and all was well The annexe is obviously 'work in progress' with some areas ( dining room) still to be renovated but overall a great place to stay. Was surprised that there was still a christmas garland on the stair bannister! Spotlessly clean but there was an overwhelming fragrance in lounge when we first arrived (? shake and vac or similar) which affected our breathing. Opened windows and fragrance lessened by second day. Great place to stay close to hospital and City Centre. Great having 2 bathrooms. Lovely well equipped kitchen. Spacious bedrooms. When the new porch is finished and the dining area decorated to match the rest of the house it will be fabulous.

My girlfriend and I stayed for the weekend at Sue's place and it was great. We had plenty of communication from Sue before hand with some very comprehensive directions. Check in was super easy with a key left in a lock box. The house and the hot tub were toasty warm ready for when we arrived which was really nice. The space is small but plenty enough for the 2 of us plus the dog. The kitchen was well equipped and thankfully the microwave doubles as a convection oven! I had a mild panic when we arrived and couldn't see an oven because I'd made us a fish pie! Thankfully the microwave cooked it beautifully although I wouldn't recommend it for bigger things. We ate out at the Fishing Boat Inn not far away after reading Sue's recommendation in the welcome book. My god it was good! I bet its amazing in the summer as its right on the beach front. The food was incredible and the service equally as good. Can't recommend them enough. All in all, it was a really lovely stay in the peace and quiet.

Shepherd’s Heft was perfect for our long Bank Holiday stay, close to Hadrian’s Wall and a short walk into Haltwhistle. Everything we needed was provided in the cottage. Easy to walk out with the dog, and to park safely.

Had a lovely stay and everything was just right. Everything was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for a long weekend away. Duncan was really helpful and also provided some complementary food and drink on arrival. The Snug was nice and quiet away from the road and had some lovely views and private balcony. Really pleased with the stay.

This self contained apartment has everything you need for a perfect stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the living area has a cosy settee which made me feel right at home. Wifi is strong and Sky TV is an added bonus. The bedroom is comfortable, with a large cosy bed, and the ensuite shower is hot with a strong flow. I love this place!

This place is more beautiful in real life than the photos capture. Fresh flowers, living plants, sweet treats, classy, warm decor all made for an atmosphere we immediately sank into and unwound. The huge garden facing window, and huge modern bathroom (with under floor heating) added to the cozy luxury. The next morning it took the smell of freshly ground coffee to finally coaxed me out of the wonderfully comfy bed, then off for a morning walk. We had the pleasure and honor of Kate’s friendly, and extremely well trained spaniel join us (Beason…you’re a CHAMP❤️). Thank you Kate for the care and warm, kindness we continue to feel from our short stay, it truly was a blessing:).

We had a lovely stay at Lucy and Nick’s place. The annexe was perfect and they were wonderful hosts.

Perfect place for the four of us. lots of interesting books and board games. very clean and spacious. lovely to see personal touches all around us. We felt welcomed and Hayley was a warm, kind person. The garden is beautiful. Lots of wildlife everywhere. Hayley supplied everything we needed including snacks and drinks. We would stay again.

Great, spacious and comfortable accommodation. David clearly cares for the condition of the property and the comfort of his guests. The location of the West Wing is perfect for easy exploration of Kelso on foot and well worth a visit

Thoroughly enjoyed our night . The accommodation was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. Location was ideal for us as we were in the area for a trip down memory lane. Totally lived up to expectations. We would happily return again and will pass on details to friends and family.

Great value. Friendly welcome . Spotlessly clean. What more can you ask for? Will definitely be staying there again . Oh … and the skies if it’s clear! My god the skies ! Did I mention the skies?

We zijn ontzettend dankbaar voor de gastvrijheid van Neil en Nic. Het was geweldig dat Neil ons ophaalde bij de route en terugbracht. Het ontbijt dat we kregen, met zelfgemaakte scones was ongelofelijk! Toen ik m’n bril vergeten was de volgende dag, kwam Neils hem zelfs de volgende dag nabrengen. Ontzettend lief! Wat een aardige gastvrije mensen! En, Neil maakt prachtige kunstwerken van de omgeving!

Great place to stay if you want to explore the beautiful Northumberland countryside. Perfect for a couple. Easy access and great facilities. Really comfy bed and bed linen. Graeme was really easy to get hold of and very helpful in facilitating early check in and a very welcome late check out after a very late night for a wedding nearby. Would highly recommend this property.

Had an absolute amazing stay at The Birches. Ailsa is such a perfect host. Nothing is too much for her. She goes above and beyond to make your stay the best 😊 The cleanliness, freshness and comfort of The Birches had the wow factor. My granddaughter enjoyed the Hot Tub and the beautiful home-made lemon cake Ailsa brought us fresh from the oven, her mum and I enjoyed the bottle of Prosecco. Fresh roses 🌹 dotted around the rooms was a beautiful touch. Well equipped kitchen, spacious rooms, beds so comfortable. I could go on and on, but just check this place out and you will definitely not be disappointed 😊 Thank you Ailsa for everything We will be back. 🥰
