We enjoyed our stay in Maggie & James’s quaint and cozy home. The area was quiet and like something out of a book with all the locals and marina and restaurant. Our teens enjoyed playing board games from their childhood even though there were games there for their age group. We were gifted a beautiful loaf of sourdough bread from our hosts. So very thoughtful! If you plan to stay there be sure to check the weather and high tide schedule due to coastal flooding. You’re between the sound and the marshes and low roads can get covered with water. If you’re arriving at night it can be difficult to see where the road ends and the marshy area begins. We enjoyed our stay and our teens want to return when we can have more time sitting out on the beach by the water which is just a few steps from their home.

It ought to be a collection of Such's and So's. Such a nice place and so quiet. So well decorated with taste and quality materials. Such a relaxing spot so close to the water. So so so good cookies and muffins. And last but not least, so nice people. Very lively and cheerfull Tanya, very calm, quiet and peacefull John (still amazed, 40 years later and apparently, by his wife who may still have more energy than any soldier he faced throughout his carreer . Is there any use to add we enjoyed very much being there and highly recommend the Birds nest ? Daniel

The location was beautiful and the home was very cozy. Sitting on the screened porch, reading and enjoying the view of the yard and water was good for the soul. It was very quiet and we had all the amenities we needed.

We had a great time at Nicholas and Dana's place! It was both fun and relaxing. We really enjoyed the little beach, the dock and the kayaks. We caught some catfish and one tiny crab in the crab trap (and threw everything back in). It was nice to have the firepit and hot tub to use too. And, the kids really liked being downstairs in their own space. The only issues were that the key pad wasn't working to get in to the front door which was frustrating after a long drive and the grill was very slow to heat up and probably needs to be replaced. Overall, this home was a really good choice for us and we would stay again when visiting family in the area.

The views of the Bay, dock, and kayaks were incredible. The kitchen and family room had a great vibe, it felt like we were at the Bay!

Such a lovely relaxing getaway! Our pup had the best time running around the fenced in yard and hanging out on the dock! Lauren had all the amenities that were needed in the house. Already looking to book another stay here in the future!

The place was beautiful, inside and out! Chris was very helpful and responsive. Lots of fun games to play. The kids loved the loft. Everything in the house worked and functioned well. It was clean, comfortable and well-stocked. Can't beat that view!!

This spot is one of my favorite airbnbs so far. My bf and l learned how to fish and catch crabs for the first time and we had so much fun. It was pretty private and the views were great. I highly recommend this place.

I stayed here with my three kids for a little getaway, and we had the best time. The place was super clean and spacious, and the modern decor and finishes were clearly chosen with care—it just felt really good to be there. The game rooms were such a fun touch, each with its own theme, and the kids were obsessed! One of our favorite parts was the scavenger hunt—it was such a fun and unexpected surprise, and it gave us a memory we’ll definitely hold onto. The host was incredibly kind, polite, and respectful. Overall, it was just a great experience and a really special trip with my kids.

Sandy Feet Retreat in Colonial Beach was a great place to take my daughter and the grandkids for a 3 day Spring Break holiday. The condo was beautifully furnished and very well located on the boardwalk. My family loved having access to the beach right outside the condo and spent many hours collecting shells and sea glass. Fishing from the pier was a thrill for my grandson. I enjoyed peaceful mornings on the balcony and evening time there listening to the waves each day. Thank you Brittany for everything you do to assure a lovely stay for your guests.

This was our second stay at Beach Please and it was just as delightful as the first! The house was again squeaky clean, thoughtfully decorated and had plenty of room for our multi-generational family to spread out. Grandparents appreciated the first floor master bedroom and kiddos loved the game room, and the crafts and puzzles upstairs. The neighborhood is peaceful and cozy, with beautiful views in every direction. The addition of the acoustic guitar for songs by the firepit was a major plus, as our ten year old is a music lover and almost brought her own. We had a great stay and would recommend this AirBnB to anyone! Grab a week (or two) and don't think twice.

We really enjoyed our week at Ppb! It was so relaxing and peaceful. The neighborhood is quiet. There were 11 of us and plenty of room. The house was clean and accommodating. The pool was perfect for hours of fun! There is a public boat ramp right down the road which made it easy to take our jet ski out every day. The beach is quiet and private. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home on a stunning body of water. We were happy as could be even if we never stepped foot into the house, just lounging on the patio-deck looking out onto the water was exactly what we needed. Speaking of the house, every room had a view of the large body of water. That is what drew us to the property and it was better that expected. The home has a very nice layout with a very large functional kitchen that could easily handle more than four people helping out with our meal preps. Super comfy beds for a great nights sleep that could easily sleep a crew of eight. It is nestled in a sleepy little town, no night life here. Which was perfect for a relaxing getaway from the NOVA bumper to bumper chaos.

What an amazing spot! Tons of room for our family. Great outdoor space, especially loved the porch to drink my morning coffee or get a perfect view of the sunset. The beach area was perfect for children and the fishing was insane. SO peaceful and relaxing! Lucy was responsive and helpful with anything that we needed and she made great recommendations when asked. Definitely coming back!!

We have stayed at Darrell’s place a number of times and we love it! We love it so much we will be going back! Not only is Darrell a great host, but his home and the setting are both so special. Our kids love it and we love it. This is a unique experience not to be missed.

My daughter found this gem online to book for my 65th birthday and a family get-together on the Northern Neck. We stay in Airbnb homes quite frequently all over the world and this is the loveliest home we've had the good fortune to stay in. Christine is the most gracious host and this home is special because she has made it that way for her family. It's a huge difference to stay in a vacation home that the host rents and a home that the host lives in. Christine's eye for beauty is exquisite and the home is comfortable as well as beautiful. It seldom happens that you say, "I wish the house had (fill in the blank)" and this house has it. The river is a gorgeous backdrop and there are kayaks to use. The saltwater pool is a great addition and a reason to hang at the house. And there is everything one needs to knock out a meal or if you don't want to cook, plenty of places to eat in the area. All in all, this house is a 15 out of 10!!

The cottage was as described and then some! The pictures showed a good sample of the property. The host was very welcoming and pleasant to chat with. There was a binder inside with recommendations for sights and places to see. We were able to enjoy the sunset off the pier while swimming in the water. The natural beauty and tranquility of the land made the stay so worthwhile.

Amazing girls weekend at Ryan’s house. Such a great host and we couldn’t ask for a better weekend. The dock made the trip! We spent our entire time out there, just relaxing.

Loved this place, exactly as advertised. A beautiful place in a beautiful location on the water. The house was perfect and exactly what we wanted and the family enjoyed every minute. Wow! What a fabulous loft! Karin paid attention to every detail. The loft was well-stocked and had everything you need! Most impressive were the immaculate nature of the space and the VIEWS! The balcony was the best place for a morning cup of coffee...secluded, private, peaceful, and beautiful! This loft is brand new and so clean! Karin also allowed me to check out late and was an excellent communicator! Check in was easy and her directions were clear! Thanks for an amazing stay, Karin. I'll be booking next year, same time!
