You will fall in LOVE with the Sandhills when seeing the breathtaking view from this home that sits on 6 acres of land 2 miles outside of Ericson! Close to Lake Ericson, Cedar River, Calamus Reservoir and Pibel Lake. We are still renovating and appreciate our guests understanding our imperfections. We offer amenities such as coffee, an electric grill, 36” black stone griddle, deck, patio, fire pit and more. This 4 bedroom 2 bath home provides one of the most beautiful views in Wheeler County!

Newly remodeled! This Modern Farmhouse style home is a perfect place for a family or friends to stay. It offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom with a tub/shower, a fully furnished kitchen, dining room and a large fenced in backyard. The bedrooms offer sleeping for 4 with 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies and a Keurig coffee machine with several options for you to choose from. Full use of the home, fenced in back yard and a washer/dryer for your convenience.

God's Country - Ainsworth / Long Pine, NE

In the heart of the Sandhills, quaint 2 bedroom home is located in Ainsworth, 10 miles from Long Pine, NE. Wood floors throughout, comfortable leather furniture, king bed in master, 2 twin beds in 2nd bedroom, wifi, 55” LED TV, full size washer/dryer, stove, microwave, kitchen table w/ 6 chairs, tub/shower, full size fridge, propane grill, lawn chairs. Shampoo, soap, coffee provided. Additional twin bed available on porch (spring / summer / fall - AC on porch. Not ideal during cold weather).

The Nest

The Nest is an upstairs mini apartment in a building on a working bison ranch. The decor is birds, flowers, nature. The windows look out over the pastures. The bathroom features a shower and small clothes washer. The kitchenette area includes hot drink dispenser, microwave, toaster oven, and mini fridge. A cot and portable crib are available on request. Breakfast snacks and coffee are included in the room rate. Covid concerns: you will be the only occupants in the building overnight.

The River House

Come explore the great outdoors when you stay at the river house and enjoy the quiet as you look over the South Loup River Valley. There is river access for all kinds of water fun from tubing, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. You can enjoy evening sunsets out on the covered front porch or setup your telescope for some amazing star gazing with no light pollution. The fiber optic connection makes it easy to use your smart devices for entertainment or setup a mobile office to work remotely.

Cedar Creek Cabin

Outdoor enthusiasts, friends, and families, we invite you to enjoy your next Sandhills trip with a stay at the Cedar Creek Cabin. Our two bedroom, one bath, cabin sleeps eight. Located on a large lot to accommodate outdoor activities, including a fire pit. The park, Nebraska's Big Rodeo, and the town square (where there several dining options) are all within walking distance. The area's main attraction Calamus Reservoir is a short 7 mile drive, offering fun for the entire family.

Rustic bunkhouse, cozy and well designed. Stay a night or two. Double bed, futon, and two loft singles. Kitchenette & full bathroom. Walk trees, fields, roads (at your own risk). Beautiful bird sounds. Interact with cats & dogs. Star gazing. Phone and internet, and Wifi. Late arrivals okay. Coffee free. 1 person=1guest, 2people=2guests. NO PETS unless service animals, then add $10 cleaning. Prairie Chickens and baby calves in the Spring. NO FEEs only AirBnB fees/taxes.

Welcome to this lovely home, which retains elements of it's nearly 100-year-old history. It is located in a quiet residential area with a comfy living room where you can relax after long hours of driving. High-speed Internet is equipped for everyone to utilize. And a washing machine and a dryer are provided in the basement. Additional pillows and blankets are provided as well. It's very close to downtown, only takes about 3-5 minutes to restaurants, banks and shopping centers.

Sandhills Retreat

Sandhills get-away right off the main highway and extremely close to town. Halsey National Forest is just a few minutes away and many great Refuge lakes are in the area between Thedford and Valentine. Beautiful views of the sandhills and Middle Loup river going thru the property, with a small catch & release fishing pond on property. Little House on the Prairie

The Little House on the Prairie is nestled in the heart of the Nebraska Sandhills. We are a mere ten minutes from the Calamus River and Calamus Lake (west end) which offers tanking, tubing, boating, and fishing. This is a birders paradise! Bald eagles, prairie chickens, and a plethora of other species to observe will be waiting out your window. Star-gazers will find our night skies free of light pollution. Nature awaits!

Sleep well in our tiny rustic cabin with one bunk bed (twin/full). Our farm is nestled in the beautiful Platte River valley. Perfect for those who love a country setting and fresh, clean air. Wonderful view of the sky and nearby hills. Plenty of space for relaxing walks. Firewood provided. Our property is located about 3 miles north of I-80. We have a NO PETS policy. *No check-ins after 10pm, please!*
