Located at the tip of the Blue Hill Peninsula, Brooklin, Maine offers a quiet retreat a bit over an hour from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. A one-minute walk from The Maine Hideaway's doorstep brings you into the historic village of Brooklin, Maine and a close walk to Wooden Boat School. Our home was built in 1874, we have multiple guest rooms, all with incredibly comfortable mattresses and modern furnishings. We serve a continental breakfast Tue-Sat and hot breakfast on Sun & Mon.

Guest room in a private home

My home is located in a small town on a dirt road and very private. The rt 1 coast/ocean is about 25 minutes away and offers lighthouses, lobster and Maine hospitality. This guest room has a full size bed that is stacked with pillows and an antique quilt, dresser and closet space. The bathroom boasts of a shower as well as a claw foot bathtub should you wish to lay back and relax. There is a television, and an air conditioner in the warmer months as well as a ceiling fan as an alternative.

Climb the spiral staircase to the second story turret tower which has a comfortable chair and couch, TV and fireplace. Our in town location gives our guests a three minute walk to the harbor and downtown Bar Harbor. One dedicated parking space, Fridge, TV, & WIFI. Located on the third floor.

Rustic Cabin on Maine Farm

We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful farm. The cabin has a great connection to nature. It is a quiet, cozy and romantic place. The cabin has a queen bed in the downstairs bedroom and a double bed in the loft. The couch also folds-out to double bed in the sitting room. When reserving the cabin, please register all people over 2 years old. The cabin does not have any heat, but we provide loads of comfy blankets and warm tea to make sure you are comfortable.

Enjoy a tranquil getaway in this peaceful coastal apartment with private entrance. The updated apartment is attached to a historical (1881) inn.
