Excellent place. We felt right at home. Location is walking distance from the metro station and is in a peaceful area. The caretaker is helpful too.

A private room in Saptorishis and Shubha’s home. Warm and welcoming hosts that were very helpful, thoughtful and kind. Simple but spacious and sufficient room, a very decent walkable lake park nearby and easily reachable location by cab. Excellent for long stays. Their pets Bolt and a kitten are super fun and loving and my wife being a Vet had a lovely time with them. Salt Lake City is 2-3 kms away by cab and has a lot of the urban eateries and shopping available. ‘Home’stay in its truest sense!

Super excellent experience. We really felt like we are at home. Place was very clean, homely & accessible. Breakfast was very delicious. Enjoyed the conversation with Uncle & Aunty. Definitely we would like to visit again. Highly recommended.

A great experience of vintage Kolkata in the midst of a hustling city,it was a wonderful stay. The homely feeling plus the welcoming vibe made the stay even more memorable. The open garden area is absolute and vibing .very peaceful neighbourhood and easily accessible local places .room was absolutely clean, spacious, and well-maintained, and absolute touch of bygone era and with all the amenities needed for a comfortable experience.soham was very friendly and super host.

Poonam and Mehul airbnb is in a great location at Ballygaunge. Airy, spacious and well equipped with amenities. Breakfast is included in the package and a well functioning kitchen is there, The only thing that could be improved is that the caretakers should proactively share about the facilities/ amenities . Additionally one smalll request would be that if they can provide table and chair in the room- would be really helpful for people preferring to work from there. All in all, it is a great place and worth the price. Highly recommend it.

I had a very comfortable stay at Narayani's place. The caretaker was great and very accommodating. He cooked the heartiest breakfasts which was a highlight for sure. It was also super clean and the location is perfect

I stayed for several weeks and had a wonderful time. The traditional neighborhood is very interesting and fun to explore. Lots of narrow lanes full of activity. During puja season, it's right in the heart of the celebrations. Main roads with restaurants are also right nearby, and it's easy to get to other parts of the city. The guesthouse, like the neighborhood, has a lot of history and character. It's been tastefully renovated with lots of color and artistry and little touches here and there. The common areas, especially the rooftop garden terrace, are very inviting and a great place to relax or chat with other guests. This particular room, while not fancy, is very comfortable. I've especially enjoyed taking in the view from the big window at different times of day. Worth mentioning that you do hear street noise, and the mattress is firm (I was fine with both things, just good to know). Bhubanbari has been a welcoming oasis in the heart of an interesting, historic part of Kolkata.

Highly recommended. The location is right next to park street with all the iconic restaurants and key tourist spots being ten minutes away. Mehul was a great host and the stay was also very comfortable and flexible. Will definitely stay here next time.
