The Bakoni Hide-Away, Schoemanskloof

The Bakoni Hide-Away is an off-the-grid retreat, ideal for a romantic getaway for lovers of the African bush. Unfenced, it is set on a remote spot on the side of a mountain with abundant birdlife, buck and other game around. The design was inspired by the many stone circles that occur in this region and the Bakoni people who are believed to have roamed the area in the past. It is ideal for couples and 2 older children can be accommodated on the mezzanine floor if privacy is not a requirement.

Welcome to The Homestead@Walkersons The house has an open plan dining area, living area with a fireplace & kitchen, which is perfect for entertaining & family gatherings. The estate (at over 7km2) has mountain springs, forests & waterfalls. There are fantastic walking, cycling & running paths including trail paths on the Wildlife Reserve. The Estate has a runway & Helipad that can be used if arranged. The house is cleaned on Tuesday & Thursdays, other days can be arranged at additional cost.

The home has exceptional, elevated views of the estate and is tastefully furnished with an open plan kitchen, dining room, living room and family room. The cosy indoor fireplace, covered patio and fire area makes this the perfect home for entertainment and family time. The main bedroom is en-suite and the other 2 bedrooms in the main house each have a separate bathroom. The 4th en-suite bedroom is separate to the house and has 4 beds.
