We had a great stay at Joanne's house in Oakura. The location was fantastic - private and peaceful, yet only a short drive to New Plymouth. The house itself was very spacious, easily accommodating our two families. The pool and games room were a huge hit and provided plenty of entertainment for everyone. Joanne the host responded promptly to any questions we had and had great communication. We would definitely recommend this property for large groups or families looking for a comfortable, fun, and conveniently located getaway.

Not everything is as new as the photos suggest, but the appartment feels spacious due to the high ceiling, it is comfortable and generally very clean. We recommend it to others.

Wir fühlten uns dank Lucy's Zugewandtheit und ihrer Familie - und des Hundes 😉 - sehr eingeladen und hatten eine großzügige Wohnung für uns, die sehr komfortabel war. Der Garten ist ebenso traumhaft. Alles war sehr unkompliziert, was wir sehr genossen haben. Das Grundstück liegt ruhig und ist ein zauberhafter Rückzugsort. Danke. 🌼

Dawn's place was a great location for our workers. Will definitely book again if we are in the area again!

Gayle's place is in a fantastic location, nice little beach for the kids to play. Overlooks the ocean. Well thought out for amenities including games, puzzles, even a bucket of lego for kids. Good bedrooms and lounge area with everything you could need. No hesitation to stay here again if passing through, very peaceful and relaxing and Bell Block has a handful of shops including The Warehouse and a small supermarket, restaurants and cafes.

Jennie without question, is the perfect host, her star ratings go beyond the obligatory 5. This is one of the best Airbnb properties we have stayed in. Beautifully presented with all the facilities you could wish for and plenty of them, including games for children. The local amenities, park, beach were all within walking distance. When staying in New Plymouth, Jennie’s home must be the place to stay and we will definitely stay again if we return to NZ. In addition, the welcome breakfast pack was remarkable, two loaves of bread, milk, mini pots of butter/preserves, marmite box of cereal, eggs, crisps, snack bar confectionery, sweets, tea and coffee were provided by Jennie. Our 6 night stay could not have been better and we were sad to leave. Thank you Jennie, your home, personal touch and facilities were absolutely premium class. Take care.

Lovely place with a great view of the surf. Well-presented with comfortable beds. “Bella Vista” is a very accurate name! We’d like to come back!

Absolutely loved our stay! The house was super clean, beautifully kept, had everything we needed, and was also close to the CBD area. Braeden was a wonderful host, so friendly. Also, kept a chocolate for us, which was a nice gesture. Would 100% recommend and would love to stay again!

Sehr viel Platz, super Ausstattung, freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Die Lage ist sehr praktisch, gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe. Würden wir wieder buchen.

Sehr gut situiert nicht weit vom Strand, schöne Unterkunft. Leider keine Spülmaschine aber dafür einen leckeren Kaffee (Espresso Maschine):))

Great location with a short walk to the sea. The garage is a little small with a tight angle, larger cars may face some difficulties (though you can just park right outside). The kitchen can be cleaner and a better stock of supplies. Notwithstanding that, the place was kept clean. It would be better if they provided a heater for the two smaller rooms. Good stay with some room for improvement

Davina’s Secret Garden is such a cozy and inviting place! The house is super spacious and has a warm, rustic charm with beautiful furniture and thoughtful details throughout. The pantry was well-stocked, and there were even some goodies in the fridge, which was a lovely surprise. The garden outside is peaceful and full of character—perfect for relaxing. It really felt like a home away from home. Definitely planning to come back!

Special little batch where our whanau felt welcome and had such a lovely week attending Matatini and able to escape a recharge at this wonderful batch. Denise and husband were welcoming and so very friendly. Grantee a great peaceful place with family. Nga Mihi!

It was so good to visit again after staying previously a few years ago, and enjoyed the extended space & upgrades to the bathrooms. It is such a good location with amazing views of the coast. Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful modern home in the heart of Oakura! Thandi and Bachelor were so kind and super responsive. We were so grateful for the lovely space to spend time with our family.

We enjoyed our stay at Leonie’s beautiful home and loved the retro/mid century vibe. We did find the traffic a bit noisy at peak times, but the overall experience was great. The coastal walkway was a wonderful walking destination and we would not hesitate to book again next time we vist New Plymouth!

We managed to squeeze 3 families into Deanna's place and it worked so well for us. We all loved the space, the kids had a great time playing in the garden and Deanna was really helpful in the lead up to our stay. We'd definitely come back!
