Haven on York

Haven on York is an off grid rural escape which offers a unique experience. It is set in a peaceful, country landscape with an ever-changing vista of our beautiful maunga. Relaxing and unwinding in our outdoor stone bath is certainly rejuvenating, or if nature is your thing, you can take a 4.8km hike around the historic York Road Loop Track, only a few minutes drive up the road. Located in central Taranaki, Haven on York is a perfect base for exploring all that this stunning region has to offer.

Slow Stay at Roebuck Farm

A slow stay amongst the gardens. Tucked away on Roebuck Farm, our private guesthouse sits amongst the market gardens where we grow organic produce for local restaurants + stores. Just 12 mins from New Plymouth, it offers a chance to step away from the pace of everyday life + reconnect with simplicity: birdsong, fresh air, seasonal food + slow mornings. Whether you're harvesting for dinner, reading in the afternoon sun or enjoying an authentic farm-to-plate breakfast, this is a place to savour.

The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Welcome to “The Burnt House" as it was nick named after a fire in 2019. We spent 2 years restoring this multi level home. You will find this house a real treetop treat - no other houses in sight, but still within 5 minutes drive of the CBD. The house is nestled in a Significant Natural Area - meaning its natural bush (and bird) views all round. Settle in the spa and enjoy the bird life. We love sharing this space with you as we believe it's something special.
