I never expected to find such a beautiful place on Maripipi island. The staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend this place.

Pour se rendre sur place, nous avons pris un bateau depuis naval (2 départs par jours). Sur place, Jovie et sa famille s'occupent de tout. Du transport entre le port et le logement, de l'excursion sur sambawa, des repas (très bon, environ 5 euros par repas pour 2) etc.... Ces supplements sont proposés à des prix très raisonnables. La famille est très accueillante ainsi que les personnes des villages environnant. Le tour de l'île fait environ 22 km. Nous aurions souhaité le faire à pied mais on nous l'a déconseillé. Il semblerait que certains villages craignent plus (avec des personnes alcoolisés). Il y a la possibilité de louer un scooter pour faire le tour. Il y a une belle plage accessible à pied. Malheureusement lors de notre séjour la route juste derrière était en travaux. Nous avons apprécié l'authenticité de ce séjour.

Unliked described in the listing there is WIFI and a shared kitchen available. The room is spacious with a terrace and you have a nice ocean view with a direct access to the beach. There are not curtains for every window so it gets bright in the morning and as in almost every place in the Philippines you hear roosters crowing. But if you go diving you have to get up early anyway and otherwise just use earplugs and a sleep mask then it's fine. The associated dive shop Dive Link Cebu is right vis-a-vis and we highly recommend diving with them. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. You can talk to the host Gary who is frequently around telling you about his research, also for helping the Thresher sharks who inhabit the waters around the island. There are great restaurants nearby, we highly recommend the Villa Potenciana which is delicious and offers various plant-based meals. We really enjoyed our stay and the great diving and would definitely go back.

Die Unterkunft lag nur drei Minuten von meinem Tauchshop entfernt. Man kann auf der Insel auch so alles sehr gut zu Fuß erreichen. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr sehr nett und ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank, ich komme gerne wieder! :)

Due to a planning error on our part, we were only able to spend one night in the accommodation. Joel was very understanding and tried to help us as best he could. We were given a friendly welcome and felt very comfortable. The accommodation is clean and has a beautiful location right on the beach with a coral garden for snorkeling. The food park is within walking distance. I would definitely book again
