Council pool right across the road ( only open in the warmer months). 3 km to the Burren artesian bore bath. (only open in colder months ). Burren Junction is a great place to base yourself to explore local areas like Lightning Ridge etc.

Walk to the local pub and cafe. Council pool directly across the road. 3km to the Burren artesian bore bath ( April - Oct) generally. Burren Junction is a great place to base yourself to visit Lightning Ridge, Mount Kaputar National Park, and many other beautiful spots.

Langholm Homestead, a serene retreat in the bush.

Nestled in the iconic Pilliga Scrub is this homely retreat. Langholm is ideal for bird watching, keep an eye out for the rare Red-tailed Black Cockatoo. Take a day trip to the Warrumbungles, then after your climb, relax in the Pilliga hot bore bath, only a short drive away. Please be aware that Langholm is located on a dirt road being in a National Park ( it’s mostly all weather due to the red soil ) but has an odd pothole, AWD or 4WD vehicles are recommended.
