Connected to the old cruck barn this is a compact, cosy, self contained bedroom. It’s set on one side of the courtyard with separate key access so you can come and go at will. If you love the outdoors, we think you will love it here. We have spectacular views of the Cairngorms, with excellent walks from the door. Rustic, with loads of character, the room has a comfy king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. If you need mod cons or lots of space this may not be the place for you!

Self Catering accommodation located within the Cairngorms and the Glenlivet Crown Estate A quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle, ideal for couples who looking for a secluded country location. The accommodation is a separate annex to the farmhouse which dates back to the 1700’s and was once occupied by John Grant the founder of the famous Glenfarclas Distillery. The Speyside area is famous for its distilleries and the Glenlivet distillery is located 5 mins drive away.

Smith Drive is a quiet residentual area. Elgin is close to several beaches and 10 mins from RAF Lossiemouth and Kinloss. Baxters and Walkers are within a half hour drive and we are in the heart of Speyside so ideal for the whisky trails. Our place is ideal for a couple, with a pet.

Facilities include a double bed in the main bedroom and a large sofa bed in the lounge area, both of which can be used as double beds or split into 2 singles. The property is a converted attic space and therefore has a sloping ceiling so be careful not to bump your head! We are in the heart of the Whisky Trail with many distilleries nearby, so a visit and a wee dram is a must!

The Barn is located on the original Ruthrie Estate. It has been converted to comfortable standards to welcome guests. Please be advised that building works are scheduled to commence from the 4th June on the neighbouring field.
