5/5 – A Perfect Family Getaway We had an incredible stay and truly didn’t want to leave. The home was ideal for a family vacation—comfortable, well-equipped, and full of thoughtful touches. My children were devastated to go! We had planned a few small adventures in the surrounding area, but they were so happy in the pool that we barely left the property. We came during spring break from upstate New York, where it was still snowing, so the warm weather and sunshine were a much-needed reprieve. The house had everything we needed: Netflix, Alexa, a garage full of pool noodles and floaties, and a lovely selection of children’s books that my toddlers adored. One of the most heartwarming moments was when Neil kindly gifted my daughter a stuffed cat she had fallen in love with—it meant so much to her and to us. This was the kind of stay that creates lasting memories. We can’t wait to come back.

Deborah’s home was clean and check in was simple & easy. Beds were comfortable and we walked the trail behind the house which led to the canal. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit the area.

Very beautiful place to stay right on Lake Ontario. Great communication from the host and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

This was our 3rd trip and as always it’s a favorite when we come to visit family in Batavia and Rochester . Owner is wonderful and the place is fantastic . Watched the NYE fireworks from the back deck and love the location .

This was the perfect place for us for a 4 night stay for the Eastern Zone’s swim meet. The location was perfect, less than 10 minutes from the aquatics center and restaurants but super quiet and peaceful. The house had everything we needed for a short trip, such as fresh linens and a washer and dryer - which were necessary for the swimmer. With bedrooms up and down, we were able to create quiet and cozy spaces for rest. If we had more time, or it was a bit drier, it would have been great to explore the local trails and backyard. Everything was as described - we would definitely stay here again.

Craig’s place was the perfect retreat for a long weekend getaway. It was such a unique stay with so many thoughtful touches. I will definitely be back!

The suite was exactly as advertised and absolutely spotless! We had a slight issue with the thermostat, and Jill solved it within 1/2 hour. We will definitely be back!

We had a great week's stay at this lovely 'Retreat' - right in the heart of Rochester! Cozy home with a comfortable bed, wonderfully well-equipped kitchen, great shower, good WiFi and free parking! This property was in a great location; we were in Rochester for a week with a show playing at the Auditorium Theatre, which was easily walkable! Also walkable are the area's museums, School of Arts and other area theaters. Hosts were quite attentive and proactive. We would certainly choose to stay here again, if in the area! An out-of-town friend and I stayed at the Mill for two nights and we could not have been happier with the accommodation. First and foremost, Joan is an amazing host. She is thoughtful, respectful of your privacy, but always available to answer questions. She lives on the lower level of the beautiful old Mill and happily showed us her home. Second, the rental apartment on the upper level was incredible. It is filled with history, charming decor and picturesque views. Everything about the apartment invites you to relax, unwind, forget your worries and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. My friend was in town to say good-bye to an old friend who is very ill, and she said that the stay at the Mill was a gift that helped her to put that sadness in perspective. Thank you so much Joan for providing such a lovely apartment to rent.

We had a fun and relaxing week here. The location is great, with a lot of restaurants, museums and galleries within walking distance. I was working some days and there is a cozy desk spot set up that made that easy. We also cooked a good bit, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Great location clean place and great service

This is a spotless, comfortable home in one of the nicest neighborhoods. Beautiful back yard with covered seating area. Modern kitchen. Well furnished but not at all cluttered. Host lives upstairs and is very responsive. Excellent location: A short walk to a tree-lined city street with restaurants featuring many different types of cuisine, cute shops including a homemade-candy store. Easy walking distance to local museum, 15 minute walk to George Eastman House, half hour walk to the Art Gallery, and a quick drive to the Museum of Play.
