absolutely amazing place!! I found this place based on a hotspring near by. the house is set up perfectly to spend time with your friends and family. the double living area rooms really helped set up different areas for crafts and movies. the kitchen was well stocked for cooking! they really had the tools needed to prepare a full dinner. all rooms were clean and had all the basics you could need. this is what airbnb was created for! no hassle, full amenities, great company. thank you, Gloria!!

Peaceful Eagleville retreat with majestic views

I stayed here as a base camp for a winter mountaineering trip in the Warner Mountains with my family. It was a welcoming home with rustic charm but also modern amenities. I will definitely be staying again. We really liked exploring nearby Cedarville, Ca as well. My kids liked look at the old church and post office in Eagleville.

Five stars! Christy is a wonderful host and made our stay in Cedarville, California, very enjoyable. We encountered a minor, unforeseen issue with the heat in one of the rooms, but Christy immediately sent a kind and helpful gentleman who quickly resolved it. The home offered a lovely and charming country stay, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Modoc County. Each room was thoughtfully furnished, with many small touches that showed great attention to detail. I especially appreciated practical features like a well-placed bathroom hook — a small but often overlooked convenience that made a big difference. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would gladly stay here again without hesitation!

Wendy was amazing with helping us be able to stay somewhere during my brother's wedding. She communicated great the house was great. The microwave did not work as well, The oven and stove cook unevenly, The dryer took 4 cycles for it to dry the towels. Everything else was wonderful. Thanks again.

Kacy is the ultimate hostess! She was in constant communication with us to make sure that we got into the place easily and that everything met our expectations. Even before we got there, she reached out to see if we needed anything from the grocery store that she could stock in the refrigerator! And to top things off, on Christmas morning she came over and gave us a sweet Christmas gift🎄 She always went over and above to make sure we were comfortable, which is awesome! The place itself was perfect for us. She has made it a perfect bungalow in the country, but close to town. I'd recommend this sweet abode to anyone heading to Alturas!

The Cheese Factory - High Desert Cabin Built 1880

Old building with lots of charm, 4 bedrooms, 3 on the third floor, 1 on the second floor. The first floor has a couch & tv that we never used as it was freezing downstairs. The second floor is the main floor. Place is very old but has lots of charm. Nice creek flowing right next to the house was an added plus. Shower on the third floor is super small, 2nd floor bath has a tub only. Bedrooms are all big minus one but no drapes on 2 of them so the sun came right in at sunrise. The neighborhood is really nice. Would love to have a place there of my own.

Eagle Room - Cressler House

The Cressler House is a wonderful historic gem. It is beautiful inside, the rooms spacious and the bathrooms very generous with large soaking tubs. The kitchen is quaint and provides everything one would require. I was there for work, so I did not get the opportunity to explore the area. I was there mid week and was the only guest at the time. It was so tranquil and I cannot express how much I enjoyed my stay. All the rooms are beautiful. I was in the Eagle room downstairs and my enormous bed was so very comfortable. Anna was a very hospitable host. I enjoyed the peaceful solitude and beauty of the home immensely.

Second time staying at Kathy’s place and it is the best. Very comfortable house has everything you need, if you forgot to pack anything don’t worry because most likely Kathy has it already stocked, ready and waiting there for you to use. It’s one if not the most comfortable and accommodating Airbnbs I’ve stayed in.
