If you want to experience ranch life, peace, quiet, & nature ,than come to our 80 acre horse ranch in alturas calif., where there are more cows in our county than people. We have horses, cows, chickens, and cow dogs. Stay in our remodeled bunkhouse, has room for 4. 1 queen bed, and a full size futon. Full kitchen, private bathroom, with outside bbq area.

Our home is very neat and tidy. It is a great space for a family looking for a little more then a hotel room. There are two houses next to each other and can be rented together for large groups. They are conveniently located one block from Main Street, Niles Saloon & Hotel, Antonio's, Shopping, the Courthouse and near Modoc Medical Center. Sorry no pets and absolutely no smoking of any kind.

The Cranky Canard - High Desert Log Cabin

This cozy log cabin that sits at the base of the Warner Mountains at 5,340 ft on 20 acres and backs to the National Forest. Beautiful view of the broad valley of the Pit River where you can witness breath-taking sunsets, dark skies where the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye, and even Mt. Shasta —which is located 95 miles west as the crow flies.

The Cheese Factory - High Desert Cabin Built 1880

This is a historical building built in 1880 that was the local meat market and then later became a Cheese Factory (creamery) which it is locally known as today. Nearly condemned in the 1980s a very ambitious carpenter decided to not only make it livable but expand the attic to create a very unique living space.
