The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

River Belle Glamping

River Belle is set on a working farm only 10 minutes away from the city of New Plymouth. A secluded Glamping site set on 160 acres next to Mangaoraka river. A geodesic dome luxuriously fitted out, is accompanied by a amenities hut, providing a charming kitchen and separate bathroom. The hut has an outdoor bath with view of Mt Taranaki. Mill House - Villa on Forgotten World Highway

This lovely villa was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today. Mill House is a fully furnished, four bedroom/one bathroom home that comfortably sleeps eight. Whether you are travelling through or looking to getaway, Mill House can provide you with tranquility and relaxation.

Te Maunga Cottage Set on 30 acre Organic Farm

An idyllic rural setting with a modern refurbished 2024 cottage containing all the things you need for a relaxing well catered holiday. We are on the property a working farm but all your spaces are your own. Well positioned for access to tourist attractions: beaches, city and mountain. From the moment you enter the driveway you can feel yourself de-stressing. Herbs & Vegetables in raised bed garden behind cottage- help yourself. We grow lots of our own food & love to share when available.

Cosy by the Sea

We offer you a private, warm, small quiet space neatly contained on the ground floor of our family home. Our quiet street sits right above the ocean where you can hear the lapping waves of the Tasman sea from your private courtyard, and have unlimited views out to the horizon. You'll want a camera for the sunsets. The entrance to the room is separate from the entrance to our house, so one has complete privacy. We offer modern bicycles for guest use at the cost of $20 per day, per bike.

The Stay on Egmont

Welcome to The Stay on Egmont. Nestled in the quiet Egmont Village at the base of our Maunga, the road to the mountain is straight out the gate. The cottage is a quiet retreat 10 mins from New Plymouth city. Wake up to the call of Tui and the sound of a stream running outside. Only a 10 minute drive into New Plymouth and beaches, 5 mins to the Egmont National Park. The Village hosts a cafe, petrol station, large mountain bike park, NZ's largest Holden Museum with luge and mini golf.

Our Cottage is cosy, newly refurbished and fully equipped and detailed. With Mangati Walkway just around the corner, a bike ride takes 30 minutes to Fitzroy Beach/Te Rewa Rewa bridge. Please note : -We are 10 minutes drive to the heart of the city. -Please expect traffic noise -Our home is on the same property -Must love cats!

Time Out on Te Mara

Walk straight into your own studio style room with en-suite which is situated beneath our family home. Sorry there are no cooking facilities but a small fridge, microwave, jug, plates, cups, cutlery and also tea and coffee supplied. Te Henui walkway is 2 minutes walk away which leads you straight onto the foreshore walkway. Quick walk up the road to the locate supermarket, Pharmacy and Stumble Inn Cafe & Bar. Less than 5 minutes drive to central New Plymouth. Includes free Wifi

The House of ART

The House of ART offers a place to enjoy Art, Rest and Travel away from home and continental breakfast supplied to start your day. Located in a newly built subdivision just 5 minutes drive from New Plymouth Airport, and 10 minutes to the city centre. An enjoyable spot to relax and enjoy views down to the sea. A small local shopping centre is 3 mins drive away with supermarket, pharmacy, cafes and take-aways for your convenience. Our aim is to make your stay an enjoyable time away.

Self Contained Studio/Sleepout

Detached from the main house, this is a sleepout/studio. Guests love the quiet and secure neighbourhood location. Local shopping centre with supermarket, chemist and library are 10mins walk/5mins drive from the house. We are a 5mins drive from NP airport/10mins drive to New Plymouth CBD and approx 30mins drive to Mt Taranaki. Walking distance to Bell Block Beach and the scenic Coastal Walkway from Bell Block to NP in an hour. Great for a weekend/short visit to the region.

A little bit of country

Guest room separate to the main house. Its a large studio room with en-suite. We're out in the country on a large lifestyle block, only 5mins from Inglewood which is a great little town, and 20mins from New Plymouth. Its a peaceful spot with a great view of Mt Taranaki from our garden. Our place is shared with 2 dogs (outside dogs), 3 cats (probably wouldn't see them), chickens and cattle on the farm From Sept - Oct we have lambs that are being hand fed. :-)

Take a 3 min walk to our beach, surf, swim or use our free kayak. Use our bikes on the Coastal Walkway (free) or hike the Pouakai Crossing.
