The Story House

Between the lights of Portland and the slopes of Mt. Hood stands a whimsical woods of giant firs, feathery cedars and old mossy maples. Midst a maze of paths and ferns is a cozy cabin full of delightful art. Browse the uncommon birdhouses and their stories. Just steps outside the French doors is a lighted path to the bathhouse (the only bathroom) with toilet, shower, clawfoot tub and washer/dryer. Walk the paths, soak in the hot tub and end your day in the peace and quiet of a private cabin.

Country Living in a Forest Setting

Come stay in your own cozy mini apartment, a little over 25 minutes from the Portland suburbs, and about 45 minutes from downtown Portland. Our home sits on two wooded acres. You'll have a private deck, private bathroom, private entrance, and private living space. There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a futon/sofa in the living area that makes a shorter twin-size bed. Check-in time is after 4 pm. Early check-in is possible, just contact us. No Smokers! One pet on approval, up to 45lbs.

Mt Hood View Tiny House!

Sandy’s first and only Tiny House! Located just one mile from Hwy 26, this unique tiny home sits on 23 acres, offering a peaceful, private setting with easy access to Mt. Hood adventures. The tiny house has its own space and stunning Mt. Hood views, with our main home visible but not impacting your privacy. Designed around a custom moving window wall system, it opens fully to the outdoors, bringing the mountain right into your stay for unforgettable sunrises, sunsets, and true Mt. Hood magic.

Timber Park and McIver Park are steps away, Mt Hood National Forest is just minutes!

Alpine Den - A Modern Forest Escape

The Alpine Den Is perfect for all occasions, from a romantic getaway to a family retreat. Located in an old growth forest near the Salmon River, nestled under a canopy of Firs and Cedars. The cabin sits on a picturesque half acre lot, minutes away from great restaurants, markets, golf course, biking and amazing hiking trails. Private A-Frame (for 4 people) and separate studio bedroom/bathroom behind the garage (for 2 people.) Please note: the studio must be requested in advance.
