Called “Slipper Rock” in memory of Bessie Lakes, an elderly lady that lived on farm many years ago. She could be heard laughing while playing in the stream that runs by the cabin. She called the stream “Slipper Rock”. The newly built cabin sits on 15 acres. Numerous hiking trails & horseback riding trails. Some trails in Daniel Boone National Forest. Bring your own horses. PLEASE NOTE: The Cabin is adjacent to a KY State Highway Garage and there’s no guarantee you won’t hear some heavy equipment noise sometimes. WiFi is 100 mbps. The Mennonite Bakery is less than a mile down the road and the swinging bridges and river are also nearby. Hiking, biking, walking and four-wheeling are all within an easy drive.

This newly freshened, mid-century home is located in the city limits of Manchester, KY, a Trail Town. It sits just a few hundred feet from the Salt Works Village and boat ramp to Goose Creek. It is a short walk or drive to one of our many swinging bridges, the Clay County Historical Society, and a number of restaurants, stores, and churches. A five minute drive can have you to the Federal Correctional Institute, AdventHealth Manchester Hospital, or Beech Creek Campground and Lake.
