This was one of the best places we've stayed at. We have two young children, ages four and six, and they really enjoyed it. The small bin of toys in the basement was a real hit! The house was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was also great. The town playground was just a block away, and we walked to the downtown strip a few times (an eight-minute walk). The location was easy to park at and get in and out of, and it was very quiet. As a runner, I enjoyed a few runs right from the front door, and my wife took a few evening walks. Paonia is a charming small town, and this house made our visit even better. We loved it, and it was a perfect getaway!

Very nice mini hotel located within walking distance to downtown Fruita. Our small apartment was perfect for a couple, well appointed and clean. Perfect location for starting bike rides.

I chose this place for a 20-person bachelorette trip. It fit everyone pretty well. We set up one queen air mattress in the kids room. A note about the layout of the house: the master bedroom is in the basement and has a door to the backyard. Many people used this path to get outside instead of the outdoor staircase off the kitchen. This means that the master bedroom wasn’t very private. Additionally, the basement level (which has the master bedroom and the kids bedroom) only has one full bath which is in the master bedroom. It wasn’t an issue for us. Just an fyi as you plan your trip. The hosts were accommodating, kind, and responsive. The house was very clean when we arrived. The pool and hot tub were so much fun. Under a ten minute drive to the entrance of Colorado National Monument and to downtown GJ.

We had the best time at the house and fell in love with all of the animals! The property was wonderful! The animals were the best part of our stay! Loved everything about it! We will definitely book again if we are ever in the area again.

Beautiful place! Mike and Stephanie were wonderful hosts and their place made the perfect peaceful getaway for the weekend!

Cassandra’s little house was an absolute dream. Fantastic place in a great location. Many thoughtful details like a dog bed and pet bowls. The fenced yard was great for bikes!

We had the best time during our stay! The property has the most amazing view on the mountains and the Colorado river. The house itself was clean and had all the amenities you could need. But the best part about the place was getting to feed and spend time with all the cute and friendly animals on the sanctuary. Couldn’t recommend this place enough and hope we get to return in the future!

Tim’s place was wonderful! The grounds were stunning and the views are spectacular. There are multiple wineries within walking distance. It was the perfect getaway! I look forward to coming back.
