The property has parking, doors to the courtyard, patio with views looking onto a beautiful fairway, and a path to the gardens, fire pit, ruins and historic canal.

Highfield cottage is a stone-built house on a hill at Hillhouse Farm Escapes in the Scottish Borders. This old shepherd's house is renovated to a modern & cosy standard. It has a superb kitchen with range cooker and large dining table, a huge lounge and two generous bedrooms (one is en-suite). Best of all is the stunning rural location with incredible views. It's an easy one-mile walk to a pub. Dog friendly. The house next door, a Little House on the Hill (Herniecleugh), is also available.

Peaceful and homey self-contained accommodation - a separated annexe to our home. It is on the outskirts of Dunbar but within walking distance (~25 mins). Tucked behind new housing but your back garden is private. We are close to beautiful beaches and golf courses. Fresh milk, butter, cereals, coffee and something to toast are provided. Ideal for exploring the Lothians /Northumbria, or to just chill. Farm track road so please note the lower end of the road is prone to potholes in sections.

Relax in the cosy cottage, or spend an evening in front of the fire in the lovely, old shepherd's hut. Great local walks, cycle routes, dark skies and peace and quiet await you. The Roman & Reivers Route, a long distance trail, runs past the cottage to the tiny hamlet of Craik and beyond.
