The Cottage at Pines End

The Cottage at Pines End is a cozy getaway to a quiet place in the country, carefully designed and constructed by its owners. We pay attention to details, such as a custom stone chimney, handmade drawer pulls, and a large wraparound deck space. The 6 acre property includes a field, woods, and a creek to explore. Nelson county has many nearby attractions, such as the Tye and Piney rivers for boating or fishing, world-class hiking, breweries, and wineries. Wintergreen resort is 40 minutes away.

Welcome to Towler Cottage, a getaway in the heart of Route 151 in Afton. The cottage is within minutes from the best wineries and breweries, great local trails, and the Blue Ridge Parkway! Relax in the hot tub on the rear deck, or sit out by the fire pit and gaze at the stars. Enjoy great mountain views from the front porch rocking chairs. With one bedroom with a queen bed, plus a pull-out couch in the living room, the cottage is perfect for couples. Located 25 minutes from Charlottesville.

Feels like your own mountaintop treehouse retreat, yet is only a few miles from Nelson County amenities: wineries, breweries, hiking trails, restaurants, and coffee shop are a short drive down Route 151. The Farmhouse at Balcony Downs

This cozy farmhouse, built in the 1930s, is a hidden gem nestled at the foothills of the Blue Ridge on the historic Balcony Downs estate. With an abundance of outdoor activities on site and nearby, Balcony Downs is a wonderland for the adventurous. Due to the age of this cottage, it has some quirks that you should consider before booking: 1. The bathroom is on the 2nd floor. 2. The stairs are open and steep. 3. The shower is small and may be difficult for tall or larger individuals.

Idyllic Cottage Retreat

Kick back and relax in this cozy cottage nestled on a historic 400-acre Blue Ridge Mountain farm abutting Shenandoah National Park. Every space inside this cozy cottage is creatively styled, with tons of perfectly imperfect charm. Outside, a hammock beneath the elm trees, fire pit and grill, all allow for enjoying the splendor of this peaceful enclave. Excellent day-tripping to many of central Virginia's celebrated wineries and breweries, as well as scenic drives and hiking trails.

The Firefly Cottage

This century old cottage, updated with modern comforts, is perfect for a long or short stay and is located on our family farm. Minutes from downtown Staunton or Interstates 81/64. Relax, stretch out in four rooms, get some laundry done. Enjoy the peace of the rural setting. Queen size bed, large shower, fully equipped kitchen with dishes, cooking utensils, range/stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Washer and dryer. Private parking. All varieties of people are welcome here.

Batesville Creek Cottage (near Charlottesville)

Romantic weekend getaway near the Blue Ridge. Our 200 year-old historic cottage is in the rural village of Batesville, just 20 minutes from University of Virginia (UVA) and Charlottesville. We are convenient to wineries, local hiking and Skyline Drive. The cottage has privacy, a lovely screened porch for outdoor dining, kitchen with utensils and is decorated with antiques and local art. There grounds feature a large private garden with sitting areas by the Batesville creek.

Cottage right in the center of all the wineries, breweries, distilleries, cideries, Shenandoah National Park, hiking, App.Trail, Blue Ridge Pkwy, Wintergreen Resort.Pets welcome for an added fee ($40). Located on 151 -"alcohol alley". Literally seconds to Blue Mountain Brewery or Flying Fox Vineyard & a minute or two drive to Veritas, Cardinal Point, Afton Mt, Silverback, Valley Rd and more! Fiber internet, disinfected--couldn't ask for a better spot!

The Cottage @ Afton Mountain- Close to Wineries!

Welcome to the Cottage at Afton Mountain! Located in the heart of 151 Wine Country, just one minute from Veritas and the Blue Ridge Tunnel. Nestled on a half acre surrounded by woods and a lovely creek, the cottage offers 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a fully equipped kitchen and cozy living room. The Cottage is a wonderful retreat after a day of hiking the Blue Ridge or exploring the surrounding wineries and breweries. We can't wait for you to visit!
