Matala Caves Seafront Apartment with Terrace

Matala Caves is a small seafront apartment that sits right on the shoreline of Matala beach, the famous hippies' gathering place during the '60s.Its private terrace offers a stunning view of the prehistoric caves carved into the sandstone cliff, the long sandy beach and the azure water.The surrounding area includes bars and taverns,where you can enjoy a drink and taste the local kitchen.Please have in mind that there is often late night music around the area,since Matala has a vibrant nightlife.

Villa Bougainvillea is an old stone house that was build in early 19th century and was renovated recently. It is 10 minutes away from the famous beaches of Matala, Kommos,Agiofarago, Kalamaki, Kokkinos Pyrgos and Kaloi Limenes. Because it’s in the south part of Crete, even in the windy days you can find a beach that’s calm enough for swimming. The Minoan palace of Faistos, the archeological site of Gortyna, the cave-graves of Matala are also only 10 minutes away.
