Relaxing private bush retreat Cottage Rustigue

Unwind and relax in this little home away from home. Rustigue is a play of words: ‘rustig’ is Dutch for tranquil; the style of the cottage is ‘rustic’ with a combination of all things to love: old, new, done up. The cottage is surrounded by rimu trees, native bush and ferns. It is well away from the main house and has its own driveway, so you have total privacy. Sea and rural surroundings, convenient position.

The Chalet will be clean, spacious and convenient to everything available in this beautiful environment. You will have a generous view of our estuary and sandhills to the front. Then as the property backs on to a farm there is a very strong rural feel, with wide views of Bream Tail Farm and the Brynderwyn hills. Trek the Goldschmidt track to the beach from the top end of Cullen St or 25 minutes walk by road. The estuary walk is about 10 minutes via the shortcut track halfway down the road.

Spacious apartment with expansive water views. The large covered deck with day bed is the prime spot for catching the afternoon sun. Central city restaurants, shops and tourist attractions are all a short walk away. Buses, trains and ferries are also nearby. NO GROUPS/PARTIES. NO SMOKING. King bed, generous open plan living area, fully equipped kitchen, indoor & outdoor dining, sofa, TV. Nearby bars and restaurants may mean music/noise, usually not disruptive once doors and windows are closed.

The cottage sits in the gardens of the owners farmhouse yet you are in complete privacy of all, on this working beef farm. Its location is central to many wedding venues & vineyards and only 45 minutes from Auckland's CBD, making this a perfect location for wedding accomodation or a country escape.

Snells Beach is about an hour's north of Auckland and perfect for a quiet relaxed getaway. There are plenty of things to do nearby from visiting charming country cafes and wineries, or shopping at the local farmer's markets, or even taking a day trip to explore Kawau Island. If you want to explore or relax closer to the cottage, the beach is only 500m away.

The beach, along with shops and cafes are a 7 minute drive away and bush walks are just up the road.
