Just a 45 minute drive to the entrance of Big Bend National Park where you will find incredible hiking, river rafting, bike riding as well as an opportunity to cross over into Mexico and Boquillas.

This sweet adobe home from the 1950s is nestled in a garden of fruit trees and succulents. A private patio has a ramada (covered patio) and is perfect for outdoor dining, BBQ and stargazing. The home was lovingly renovated and maintained by my parents for 25 years. Beautiful tiled floors, furniture and outdoor touches reflect their love of Mexico. Marathon is an eclectic, rural town in the heart of the Marathon Basin and a great place to explore the region, be it Big Bend, Ft. Davis or Marfa.

Located 40 minutes from Big Bend National Park entrance, this is a launch point to explore the national park and other parks and communities.

For your morning coffee a Keurig and K-cups are provided along with a microwave for heating up your popcorn in the evening. Climb up to the rooftop deck for stargazing or your morning coffee.

The Goat shed @ La Loma del chivo

This artistic structure, once called 'Hostel' and now called 'the goat shed', is made from papercrete and other recycled materials . It is quite comfortable and suitable for up to 3 guests(6 if pairs). If you are looking for a new experience very far from suburbia and get the joke,this is it!
