A simple delicious breakfast and hot drink supplies also await. The perfect place for a stopover on your road trip, or to set up as a central base!

Shannon Cottage (summer)

Comfortable cosy cottage beside Mt Ruapehu. Ideal for bikers, Tongariro Crossing hikers or photographers exploring the local scenery. Independent so you can come and go at will. Full kitchen (though basic with retro fridge and no dishwasher), TV, DVDs and Chromecast, unlimited wifi, laundry, heating & aircon. One double room and one room with 2 singles (that can push together), plus a couch bed in the living room and a travel cot. From mid-May to Oct book 'Shannon Cottage (winter)' instead.

It has been completely renovated to provide a 2-level spacious, modern living space with all amenities - a home away from home. The loft and main house is on 1.5 acres with a large lawn and gardens you are free to wander. We are unable to accommodate children under the age of 12.

Crownthorpe Cottage.

A comfortable 2 bedroom farm cottage 25 mins from Hastings or Napier. The cottage has 2 upstairs bedrooms, both with queen beds. There is also a king single bed available. Large lounge with fireplace. Covered parking is available. Alan is happy to share the 70 acre farm, forest and gardens and lives in the nearby house.
