Welcome to Charlotte’s Place in the beautiful little town of Clarens in the Orange Free State. We have made every effort to make your time with us as comfortable as possible. During your stay you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity that Clarens has to offer and which is surrounded by the beautiful Maluti Mountains. Due to load shedding we have installed an inverter for your convenience as well as a tank to supply the house with water when the towns water pumps can’t pump due to load shedding

Amazing Mountain Views - Peaceful Close to Village

Wake to stunning mountain views from bed at Gentle Presence Cottages! This Cottage offers self-catering for 6 and has been lovingly decorated using a mixture of antiques and modern furnishings to make guests feel right at home. Built in the 1900’s as stables, this Cottage is one of the oldest buildings in Clarens and it's thought that farmers would arrive by ox-wagon before sharing Nagmaal (Holy Communion). There are 2 Cottages on the premises, set apart and with own entrances for privacy.

A stunning house filled with bright, natural light. River frontage and valley and mountain views. Two sitting rooms, both with DSTV so you can have sport and cooking on at the same time! Only 6 minutes drive from The Clarens Square and 26 restaurants, yet you can unwind completely in the peacefulness of the wind and sunshine. Lovely walks. Electric blankets and wood burning fires , fully equipped kitchen, 4.5 bathrooms for 6 bedrooms including one with 4 bunk beds. It's huge but homely.

Llandaff House Van Reenen is 4 bedroom California style house built in 1950's. Perched on the edge of the escarpment with a fabulous view. Laze for days in front of the massive fireplace, or venture out and explore one of the 3 gorges. Start your holiday here on route to the coast or meet friends mid-way from JHB & Durban for a getaway or celebration, or a wedding at the little church just up the road. We also have 3 cottages, Woodlands and The Barn and The Old Barn.

Clarens House Self Catering Holiday Home

Clarens House is a modern minimalistic home, with unique features, a spacious open plan living area, and creative, relaxing outdoor areas to enjoy. The house sleeps 4 guests in two ensuite bedrooms. The arrangement is open plan bedroom/bathroom upstairs and closed bathroom downstairs. A minute's walk to shops and restaurants. There is an indoor braai which acts as a fireplace. Smart TV, DSTV and wifi provided. Additional guests or children will attract extra cost.

The Stone Cottage

This cosy stone cottage was built in 1902 by the first Dillons on Waterfall Farm. Now totally refurbished but with all the original charm, it offers the most unique farm stay. The iconic Waterfall on a pristine stretch of the Wilge River is a short walk away. If you are looking for fresh air, beautiful scenery, endless walks, peace and wide views come and make memories in our special family-friendly cottage.

This holiday home comprises 2 bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms, each fitted with a shower only. One bedroom has a double bed, the other, two singles. The home features a fully equipped kitchen, and a living and dining area. The house features a balcony overlooking the Maluti Mountains, equipped with a gas braai. There is one garage, and the living areas are accessed via a flight of stairs.
