Escape to a Modern Mountain Retreat

A living room with an excellent kitchen - with granite topped island and bar counter - is the heart of the house which opens up to a large veranda with a small dipping pool (easily seats four), teak dining table with comfy leather chairs for ten, day beds and other seatings. High ceilings with whirling fans keep the spaces cool year round as do the polished cement walls and polished teak floors. The master bedroom is spacious with a super king's size bed as well as a large day bed in a window alcove all of which opens up to a private balcony. An en suite bathroom, with hot and cold water has head-height glass panes to see views of the mountains as you shower. Two other bedrooms, the queen and large twin, share a bathroom and large private balcony with a teak table and chairs. The queen room has Thai TV on the wall as well as a comfortable leather sofa for reading and the twin large room has lovely views. The two smaller bedrooms, both twins, share a bathroom (detached, though adjacent). A corridor connects all spaces together and there is a 1 acre garden to wander in, filled with fruit trees, flowers and other vegetation. An avocado tree grows through the veranda and produces about 300 fruits between May and July and there are banana, lychee, jackfruit, papaya and lemon trees in the garden, among many other indigenous plants. The house is airy, cool, luxurious, well appointed, comfortable and great for both entertaining and quiet retreats. There is an out door firepit on the balcony and an indoor fireplace for winter nights. The entire house is available, but there is also an option for couples to only take the master bedroom and living area. As the master bedroom is on one side of the living space, it is easy to just use those areas. This house was also made for romance! There is a maid, Aor, who will be on call all day and come in the early morning for cleaning and at night time to turndown as well as being available on call throughout the day clean upon request. She will also be able to provide a basic breakfast of cereal, fruits, coffee, tea, bread, jams and juice for you each morning and with a week's notice, and at 250 baht per head, you can request to add a full English breakfast or Thai rice porridge with shrimp, pork or chicken. If you wish for a chef, driver, masseuse, baby sitter, on-call maid, caregiver or tour guide we can arrange upon request. Look out to the beginnings of the Mae Sa River, paddy fields, flower green houses and the Pong Yang Village beyond. Get to know the villagers and take part in many outdoor adventures. Explore the local village shops for fresh fruits and vegetables. We are located in Chiang Mai's fun valley - Mae Sa - with elephant camps, waterfalls, viewpoints, adventures to be had and fabulous restaurants and cafes. It is best to have your own car or motorbike. We can arrange vehicles for you and if you want, drivers as well. An English speaking contact person will be provided for you to call for massuese, food delivery, tour bookings or any other needs. Because of its distance to town, we can arrange a car for you to get around in (international driving license required if you are a foreign national), or arrange for a driver with a car or van. The village has a 7/11 with basic groceries and services which is about a kilometre down the mountain and the nearest international supermarket is a 25 minutes drive. With at least two week's notice we can arrange for a chef (Thai, European, BBQ/grill, Japanese or Chinese) to come and prepare a feast for you. We can also stock the fridge for you in advance and make any other arrangements such as tour bookings (we are in the middle of Mae Sa Valley where there are botanical gardens, national parks, orchid farms, waterfalls, hill tribe villages, ATV rentals, bungy jumping, zip lines, buffalo farms and all sorts of attractions. There are also local village grocery shops for fresh fruits and vegetables.

Mae Rim Cozy House

The cozy home surrounded by the small river with fantastic mountain view. We have unlimited space for relaxing with the nature such as chilling space next to the river and pond, garden, and best facilities. We provided coffee machine, microwave, and some kitchen materials. Moreover, our house has a huge balcony that you can enjoy some food or coffee. In the house, there is 1 bedroom, 1 big living room (with coffee bar), and 2 restroom. If you come as a family, we can provide you one extra bed.

You can park 1 or 2 cars inside the house and many outside the house. Very convenient to go to many attractions in Chiang mai. Only 10 mins to downtown!
