Thank you Joseph. Your place is so convenient and we love that you are pet friendly. The dogs get so excited as soon as we get close to your neighborhood. It’s amazing how well they remember. We didn’t get to take a walk this time because of the snow and ice storm but we got to relax, watch a movie and sleep comfortably before driving the rest of the way to our vacation destination. Thank you for checking in on us also.

A big apartment with plenty of amenities. It really feels like home. Communication with the host was as smooth as possible. Strong Wi-Fi signal everywhere. A great vacation place. The only issue for some is that it is far from everything, without a car, restaurants, groceries, etc. are in reality out of reach, at least with a small child.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Kim ist eine tolle, offene und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin! Die Wohnung war top ausgestattet und liegt traumhaft ruhig in sehr schöner Natur. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten für Aktivitäten Charlottesville und in der Region, zum Beispiel in wunderschöne Naturparks. Sehr zu empfehlen!

A wonderful stay! If you’re looking for peace and quiet surrounded by natural beauty, this is the place for you! I stayed after a couple of snowstorms and the scenery with the deer and other wildlife was just stunning. Eric and Elise are very friendly and are available without being intrusive. The place was clean and cozy and the bed very comfortable! I was here over a month and it definitely felt like home - especially with the resident (outdoor) kitty who was a wonderful friendly little visitor! Would love to visit again during Spring bloom! Thanks so much!

We stayed at the guest house while in Charlottesville for a wedding and had a lovely stay! The home is beautiful and conveniently located. The hosts were thoughtful and kind and reached out to me a few days in advance to welcome me and see if I had any questions. They accommodated an early check in for our group which was extremely helpful. They even stocked the refridgerator with fresh fruit, bread, yogurt, cinnamon buns and orange juice for us! I would recommend this home for your stay!

Melody’s place was just what we needed. Great price, simple and clean, plenty of space, and great price. We planned on spending our time out and about with friends and in town and it was easy to come back to. Nice hot shower and a quiet place to crash for the night. I loved that I could afford the space to set up my toddler in his own room and I could have my own space after he went to bed. I love the location too, as there are many places super close for coffee, dinner, an afternoon smoothie, etc. Melody was very responsive and her instructions were clear.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Mountaintime Magic, and really enjoy coming back to visit. The location is a lovely and peaceful slice of the valley just south of Charlottesville, and truly is a magic location. Rich is extremely welcoming and friendly, check-in is always easy and the area is cozy and comfortable. There are some wonderful amenities that go with the rental and a beautiful outdoor area to relax in. The highlight is for sure the location and the host, five stars all around.

Good location

We have stayed at a lot of Airbnb properties over the years. Mountain View was GREAT!!! VERY Spacious and comfortable. The property had views that were terrific. Large open green meadow views to frame in the Peaks of Otter in the distance. Outside chairs make that view relaxing after exoring Lynchburg and surroundind towns like Bedford. Dedicated parking was convenient. Inside the property it is VERY Spacious and most comfortable. The property is perfect for a couple seeking relaxation and privacy. But because of it's Spacious Layout several couples can not feel crowded. This property and location was very accommodating and is a rare find and the hosts saw to our every need.

My stay was very relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, although it is very high. The first couple of times I got up, I forgot to use the hand-built stairs at the end of the bed. Surprisingly, I landed on both feet! There are nicely placed plants and tons of interesting books, which added to the coziness of the bungalow.

Lovely home and decor, very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. We did not used kitchenette but it was spacious as well. A note of caution when walking to door of airbnb. There are wooden stairs to get to patio and door in back however you must walk in grass down a slope next to townhome at least 20 feet to get to it. We did in rain, a bit slippery, lighting are 3 solar lights i think. Consider when booking if you are unsteady. I did not see a separate ac for basement but there was fan and of course basement tends to be cooler. We were comfortable!

My visit included a chaotic schedule from arrival to departure. Regardless, this family's basement apartment was the perfect place for some much needed down time/sleep for both my college girl and me ;-) Some guests mention footsteps/voices can be heard from the main floor above - this is true, however its only during the day and realistically, a room located on "the bottom floor" will be able to hear footsteps/noise from above in "a home". Its a "HOME", not a bomb shelter, therefore I was very pleased ;-) . The apartment is affordable, private, clean, not cluttered, your basic needs are met w/ a few extras, amidst a friendly neighborhood (they speak/ wave hello) and, your pet is WELCOME! The greeter, Daisy the Bernedoodle, is a Sweetie Pie! I brought my 2 little shichons w/ me and the baby calmed down almost immediately after meeting Colton. Why? Because dogs are a good judge of one's character! It's obvious Colton & family try very hard to make their guests feel welcome.

Kent was amazing! Very responsive and met us when we arrived to show us around the place. During the stay he allowed us to have our privacy. He helped us start the fire pit when we wanted to have a fire. And not even to mention the beautiful view. Would definitely stay again!

JoAnn’s place was a perfect spot for a weekend trip to Charlottesville. The living room area outside of the bedroom felt more spacious than the pics showed and the space was clean and ready for us when we got there. JoAnn was flexible with us on Check-in/out and was very easy to communicate with via text throughout the stay. I also appreciated that it didn’t really feel like anyone else was at the house, the private entrance and walkway really helped establish the separation of the units. We were very satisfied!

Effective communication is very important, and I sincerely appreciate it. Geanna's home is a magical place, and I hope to return in a few months to watch Virginia Tech play.

Great value for the money. Super friendly and flexible host. Clean. Has everything you need and more (a lot of snacks!). Terrific location. Downside is you stay in a basement, while it's well renovated, it's still a basement. There will be noise from upper level. It's not bad and it doesn't bother us. Just like the old days when we lived in an apartment... Bottom line - more bang for your bucks. Will consider this as our first option next time we stay in Lynchburg

we were 3 adult ladies in town for a good catch up / Girls weekend. The location was convenient to our plans in Charlottesville and we loved having room to stretch out and catch up in the living room. Access to a mini fridge and coffee maker was also quite helpful so we could caffeine up before heading out for the day.

We had an amazing stay! The space is so accommodating and perfectly set up for any group. We had 2 adults and 4 kids, 2 of whom were 6 year old boys, and we had no issue keeping them entertained. The beds were super comfortable, there were plenty of blankets and towels, a pack'and'play and sound machines, heated matress covers, plastic wear, tons of toys and kids movies, basketball hoop and balls, carpet billards, slack line, hammocks, squirt guns, firepit and chairs, and the creek (which is HUGE) has spots to play in sand or safely get into the water (**I would be very careful as it was moving quick, but it's not terribly deep). The host was very communacative and answered any question we sent. We had a GREAT time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. 10/10 will be staying again!

This hidden gem outside of Lexington was wonderful. The surrounding area is quiet and scenic. You're deceptively close to downtown and surrounding destinations for hiking, scenic drives and solid restaurants. More importantly, the accomodations were easy to access, spotless inside and very comfortable. The hosts were friendly, responsive and accomodating to all our requests. Easily one of the best AirBnB experiences I've had. I highly recommend, and I'd stay here again.

Great stay at Julia's. Location near Barracks Road shopping and the University (a short walk by European standards). Super kitchen with everything we needed. We lost electricity one day due to high winds and she had a backup generator and we were able to use the wood stove for heating (thank you!!). Super responsive. Lovely place and area. Thank you so much!
