Melton Wold Guest Farm

Melton Wold is a working sheep- and game farm and offers a complete holiday venue, away from the rush of big city life. Established in 1935, it is the oldest guest farm in South Africa. All the rooms are equiped with a fan, panelheater, electric blanket and old fashioned radio. The farm produces its own livestock, especially Karoo lamb and springbuck, and is the foundation of excellent cuisine. Meals are NOT included in tariff. We are a family orientated guest farm. Perfect venue for wedding.

Booiskraal Farm Stay

Booiskraal Farm Stay Accommodation is located just 75km North of Beaufort West on a detour gravel road from Cape Town and 45km West from N1(3 Sisters) on a detour gravel road from Johannesburg. We offer farm style accommodation in an 8 sleeper self catering unit. This is a fully functional Karoo sheep farm with seasonal shearing and lambing. There is no cell phone reception but Wifi is available. Explore our scenic views and fun activities. Come enjoy an unforgettable Karoo farm experience.

Whistling Bridge Cottage

Although the cottage is self catering, the Whistling Bridge Cafe is open from 7am to 4pm and offers delicious breakfast and lunch menu options.

Kooperasie Stories

Step back in time when you stay at this unique and historic place. The building is estimated to be approximately 100 years old. It functioned as the very first shop in town many years ago and was later acquired by the current Farmers Cooperative and used for storage for many years. It fell into disrepair at one stage and was then fixed up for accommodation purposes and rebuilt back to its former glory. It is situated close to restaurants, Art Gallery and other amenities.
