In the West mainland area called Evie, we are around 20 minutes’ drive from both Kirkwall and Stromness which are the two main towns on the mainland Orkney. Netherstove has two identical self-contained chalets overlooking the Bay of Skaill and Skara Brae with view of the Hoy Hills to the south. Within a 20 minute walk you have Skara Brae visitor centre and within 25 minutes drive you can access nearly all of the Historic Scotland sites Orkney has to offer. Along with this there is the opportunity to explore the surrounding countryside with a range of coastal and local footpaths where you will see an array of birds and wildlife

Cosy cottage by the sea

Relax at this peaceful cosy cottage right in the heart of The Palace village in the beautiful parish of Birsay where nature and history are right on your doorstep. Watch seals play in the bay a few steps from the cottage beside the imposing ruins of the historic Earls Palace. Just a short walk away you can cross the tidal path to the Broch of Birsay and spot a puffin or two! The cottage is situated at the end of the 1st leg of The St.Magnus Way and the start of the 2nd.

BERRISCUE HOUSE - ENTIRE COTTAGE - THURSO

Berriscue House is a beautiful, bespoke cottage - located in the centre of Thurso, hidden away from the world with a large walled garden and private entrance. Five minute walk from the beach. Everything you need for a cosy Scottish retreat! If booking the same day after 6pm please message as it may still be possible to book. If you require the extra bed in the living room, you must tell us in your initial message so we know to prepare this for you.
