The Bothy at Sheardrum - a cosy rural farm cottage

Welcome to Sheardrum a cosy yet spacious self-catering cottage in the courtyard of our smallholding. Sheardrum is the best of both worlds; surrounded by rolling farmland and hills it is quiet and peaceful, seems remote but is less than an hour away from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Perth. We have 25 acres of wildlife-friendly land, new woodland and riverside - lots of places to explore. Views of the Ochil Hills and countryside are fabulous. Children and well-behaved pets are welcome.

Compact, warm, cosy house in a quiet residential area overlooking a small park. The house is simply and stylishly furnished. There is a small garden where you can enjoy eating out in warmer weather. In spring and summer the garden is filled with herbs and flowers. You'll usually find a few books in the hall and you're welcome to take any you like the look of. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

Private apartment in modern farmhouse

Relax in a modern home on our 20 hectare (50 acre) working organic farm just a few miles south of the Edinburgh city bypass. The apartment includes 3 rooms with a private external entrance and a locked internal door if needed. The single bedroom is ensuite; the other main room is a living space with a kitchenette and large sofa bed. We are close to the route south / north too and from Edinburgh but far enough away (1.5km) to not get interrupted by road / traffic noise.
