Take it easy at this tranquil getaway in a small town nestled in the valley of the Appalachian mountains. Ten minutes from turnpike Exit 180 - Fort Littleton/McConnellsburg. Or a small hop off Route 30. This little haven is close to 2 State Parks. Meadow Grounds is wonderful for fishing and has a great tail to hike to Jarret Falls. Cowens Gap is a smaller lake, but has rental boats, fishing, a swimming beach, and 1 easy, 6 moderate & 5 hard trails to hike. Trails are on the All Trails app.

The 1780 Cabin on Main

A charming cabin built circa 1780 situated right on Main Street, just steps from Pubs and Restaurants and easy walking distance to historic Mercersburg Academy. There is a separate sleeping area upstairs with a queen-size memory foam bed. The lower level features a foldout couch and air mattress for additional guests, as well as a 55" TV and a wet bar and bathroom. Visitors have universally enjoyed the cabin's cozy feel. While there is no yard available, the town is great for walking dogs.

Creekside Cottage is a lovely two-bedroom cottage surrounded by beautiful gardens with a back deck that makes you feel like you are living in a tree house. This is the perfect spot to relax and recharge. There are beautiful views of Back Creek from the deck where you can bird watch and hopefully catch sight of one of our local bald eagles. Come to the country where you can watch the wildlife and see amazing sunsets. Plenty of attractions biking, hiking and kayaking. The home has been completely remodeled . Enjoy the spacious open concept family room that meets the kitchen, or the large living room for quiet comfort. Four bedrooms, and a full bath upstairs and half bath downstairs. Perhaps just sit on one of the front porch rockers or by the fire pit in the evening. We do not allow pets at this property.
