One of the best places we've ever stayed on vacation! The house was beautiful and kept very clean. So much character and history. Peter and Darlene were gracious hosts, very welcoming and helpful with local recommendations. Would absolutely stay there again!

5 of my best friends enjoyed a 50th birthday getaway to The Sheldon Manor immensely! The manor is breathtakingly decorated and any possible needed amenity is there. We enjoyed dips in the hot tub and loads of giggles in the sunroom. The manor is perfectly located a short drive to either Perth OR Newboro & Westport for a little girl's shopping and or wineing and dining. All the ladies want to come back in the summer to enjoy the swimming pool. I cannot recommend The Sheldon Manor enough for your next to stay!

Our stay was delightful! The location was perfect, and the decor made it feel cozy while being away from home. The host was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond. The wifi was spotty, but they were also very accommodating with our holiday stay.

Kirsten was so gracious in letting us book same-day after we had a bit of a renovation crisis at our home and needed somewhere nearby to escape the noise and chaos. The accomodations were cozy and charming, and so thoughtfully appointed that we fell in love with it immediately. It was just what we needed - welcoming and restful, great water pressure, a large comfortable bed, even farm-fresh eggs and cream waiting for us in the fridge! We’re so grateful that Kirsten was happy to accomodate us on such short notice, it was perfect. Highly recommend! —-The Urquharts

Such a special place. I was visiting my family for Thanksgiving and wanted to find a cottage that would accommodate a family of 5. By a stroke of luck I was able to book Kevin and Melissa’s place. (Due to a last minute cancellation). There was a full weekend of thanksgiving events. They went ALL out!! The trailer was so beautiful and comfortable. And the view from all the windows and deck are breathtaking. Wonderful place and wonderful people. Will definitely be back!

We had a great stay at the Grand Chalet. The resort grounds were very well kept with great outdoor spaces for relaxing and playing. Lake view was outstanding and peaceful. Hot tub was a big plus!

Beautiful resort with lots of activities to do especially for the kids. Beds were super comfy and had lots of indoor games as well. Worth visiting during summer.

We spent an unforgettable Thanksgiving weekend at Robert’s house. This house is more than just an accommodation, its a whole experience of slow countryside living at its best. The house is beautiful, filled with light and books. It is well lived in and has everything that you might need. We were happy to find the fully operational kitchen as we needed to cook the Thanksgiving dinner. Even though we brought a lot of cooking supplies with us, we could totally skip it - the kitchen has everything that you might need. The heating works well, we only needed to turn it on for couple hours in the evening. Robert was proactive and left us very detailed instructions. So if you hesitate whether you should book this place or not, let this review be a sign for you. Come stay at the Bell house and let your dream of a cottage in the woods cme true. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille. Nous étions 7 adultes. le logement est charmant , au calme dans un marina , très agréable et confortable. les instructions de Franck étaient très claires et ses recommandations étaient bienvenues (restaurants et promenades à proximité).

Eddy’s house was absolutely beautiful. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with dishes, serving utensils, small appliances, etc. which made cooking a breeze. The bedrooms were very comfortable and we had more than enough towels and linens for our stay. This spacious home and quiet neighbourhood was perfect for our family’s relaxing stay. I highly recommend this property!!

This place was great for our group of four adults. If you are looking for a cozy lakeside cottage, you've found a beautiful secluded cabin that fits everyone's needs. The instructions were very clear and Emily was very helpful. Thank you for making our weekend amazing!

Manuela’s home is incredibly spacious and very well suited to accommodate families and multiple couples. The home is located in close proximity to Perth, its parks, and a kayak/paddle board outfitters on the Tay River. The home is very sunny generally and it includes a lovely kitchen eating area as well as a large dining room for guests. The 2.5 bathrooms were well appointed and the kitchen was well equipped. The home was well cared for and very clean. Manuela is a helpful host who responded to our questions promptly.

We spent Easter 2025 here with my family, after 9 years of being scattered across the globe — and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The location is stunning and the view from the living room truly takes your breath away. The house had everything we needed and was sparkling clean. The stay began with a lovely tour from the host, Riley, and from that point on he was always available and happy to help if anything came up but also gave us lots of privacy. He has gone above and beyond as a host - from bringing us milk (that we forgot to bring), to giving us a complete list of all the things to do in the area, to teaching us about the local fauna, to even offering to pick things up from town when he went out! From the very first moment, we felt completely at home. We will definitely be back!

We loved this house and it’s serenity. Our visit was in winter and we had an inconvenient and delayed in checking out of the place due to weather conditions and host was very understanding of the situation and very cooperative at all times. We were 11 family members in total and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Our stay was absolutely magical! The cottage was impeccably maintained, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The cozy fireplace quickly became our favorite spot to relax, especially with the festive charm of the beautiful Christmas decorations. It truly felt like a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and are already looking forward to returning!

Very nice and cozy place to stay with your family. We stayed there for three months and felt like home. Location is also perfect and its walkable to all the local shops and restaurants. Looking forward for another stay at this historic building.

Once again we had a wonderful time. The place is beautiful, the grounds are well kept and this year since the river was running high we spent a lot of time swimming. We’ll be back!
